So I suppose there is NO way for a videogame company to protect their games, eh? I mean, when Half Life 2 came out, the security behind that was so tight and so annoying that I thought no one could crack that. I was wrong, took only a month after the game was released to open the whole thing... I do belive you cannot play online with a cracked version though.

). But I wouldn't use t, I would hire someone to use it, and then ask him how it was. If I used it myself, by the time I got my first "hello" from a dead guy I would scream and turn the thing out of the plug. "Gaaah that was too scary! Why did I build that damn thing!?"

But, is there any reasons to fear it? I mean, if those "spirits" are real, what can they do to us? Harm us in which way, besides scaring us?

Which explains all the looping required later, a practice I considered to be awful. If you can't record the dialogue live, there's something wrong with your scene, that's what I think.

For the PTs, I wouldn't care, but I belive watching it before the OTs is not such a good idea. Although the once suggested order of 4-5-1-2-3-6 is interesting.

LOL for some reason I don't belive he'll post again here, but oh well.
Some people have claimed to have built the Spiricom following the specifications on the technical document, and claimed some degree of success contacting dead people.

I am not an expert in electronics and radio, and I'd be too scared to turn the damn thing on after completed, or else I would build on too. Perhaps this would be a good "show-and-tell" or science show demonstration at school? Or maybe some electronics magazine might want to write an article with the specs for that? Although Spiricom is a bad name... Spookyphone or Ghostcall would be better suited.

I have an hilarious list of japanese names, some not real but sounding real, that make up a whole story of a gang of japanese people who robbed a bank (the names of the people arrested IS the story of the bank robber), it's a well known joke here, unfortunally it's absolutely untranslatable. My favorite is Fujiro Nakombi, which can be phonetically read in portuguese as "they ran away in the van".

Chewbacca in ROTS did bother me a bit.
Yoda saying "goodbye chewbacca I'll miss you" really bothered me.
A Han Solo talking to YODA would have DESTROYED all my faith on the saga.

Chaltab, I am as skeptic as you are, and religiously agnostic, but I've heard of things told by me by other people that have absolutely no logical explanation and would blow any skeptics minds (cannot go into detail).
Bossk, about the dead air thing, I've heard radios go out for minutes/hours/days without explanation from the radio stations (happened this week with my favorite radio station), but that was not the case with you.

Some people would get scared or freaked out at such phenomenon, but I don't belive we should, as it is proof that there is something out there taking care of us, right? I mean, it's not something bad, something evil there.
On a side note, I have sometimes thought of a song, that poped in on my head for no reason, and turning on the radio and hearing that very song. But nothing compared to what you have experienced...

Let me start this by narrating a brief episode that happened to me as I was about 13 or 14 (I can't recall the exact year). I was on the computer, which had those old battery operated white soundspeakers, one at each side of the monitor, and I started to hear a voice through the speaker. It spoke very fast, in some language I did not understand, which was somewhat metalic (reminded me of the pilots voice at the radio on Yavin battle) and it ended with a brief laugh, almost evil or ironic, then coming back to silence. That scared the heck out of me!
I listened to it about four more times, that very same voice, speaking for 3 or 4 seconds, but with no laugh this time, and suddenly silence. I got so scared sometimes I used to take the speakers out of the computer and lock then in the closet, only getting those when I really needed audio. At that time, I considered it was some sort of interference from radio or something of the sort, but it was kinda creepy.
I didn't hear anything anymore, but I've heard some stuff other people has witnessed (which I was asked not to reveal). So, anyone got any thoughts or stories to share?

(The villain goes old and becomes dust)
Knight: "He chose... poorly'."
(Indiana then looks arond and picks up a simple, poor cup)
Indiana: "This must be it, it's the one a humble poor carpinter would have."
(Indiana drinks it, and... he drops the grail and starts to go old and dies the very same way)
Knight: "He ALSO chose poorly. There was an even simple cup here, behind this one. See? That was the real one. Now scram!"

I hate it when parents try to tell you you're too old for something. (Hmm, I guess I'll end up writing this in the Things That We Hate thread) Damn societal pigeonhole rules. I'll do what I want, and idiots shouldn't be able to judge me. I just got back from a park where I was swinging on the swings fifteen minutes ago. Too old? Bah! Only when I can no longer stand will I be too old to play on a playground!

Exactly! You're just as old as you feel like, and I'll forever be like I was when I was 14. I still play videogames, I eat child-marketed products, I watch anime, I went to this gamecube contest where I was teorically old enough to be everyone's father there, and I don't really care!
The only thing that I get a bit embarassed is to be on a movie line to see some animated flick or something, and the whole line is made of 9 year olds and their parents.

Me, I wasn't shocked for the spelling mistake, but for the fact you thought George Lucas created the Ark!

For AOTC, I was in college back then, I dragged two other friends, who complained all the time midnight was too late to see a movie. I kinda liked it better but was still unimpressed.
For ROTS I was able to bring 10 other people with me, co-workers, ex-co-workers and friends. They all hated it, but I thought it was the best prequel by far, which is to say it kinda sucked. I remember posting pictures of it here.
For me, the must fun of the whole PT era was not the films itself, but the hype, the rumors, waiting in line at midnight, all that stuff.
