Well, I refuse to belive that this board will open up a phantasmagoric portal, as in Poltergeist or Ghostbusters. But still, I'll do it on someone else's house anyway.

YIYF, do you have an entity from an evil dimension making your life a living hell at this present moment? Remember, if it asks if you are a god, you must say YES!

I've seen the premise about this script a while ago. It's a comedy/drama about a group of star wars fanatic friends who decide to take a dying friend to the skywalker ranch, to watch Star Wars on the perfect location for the last time. It's like "George Lucas in Love" meets "The Cure" (the film, not the band).

Bossk, about the dead air thing, I've heard radios go out for minutes/hours/days without explanation from the radio stations (happened this week with my favorite radio station), but that was not the case with you.

It doesn't happen that often here in the States. Radio producers are very fickle, and dead air is bad for business. I think I've heard dead air three times in my life and only for a few seconds. That time, though, was just far too long with no acknowledgment of a problem. So, yeah, it was not regular dead air like you said.

MBJ, sorry to freak you out there. I always found it calming to think about. In fact, I've even jumped the fence to visit my friend in the cemetery at night and that never freaked me out either. My friend's spirit doesn't seem to allow it. Other cemeteries at night typically freak me out.

YIYF, I've done the whole Ouija Board thing too. Once. And only once. It worked. And I've tried long and hard to put the memories of it out of my head. Scared the living daylights out of me. Guess it didn't help that the movie Witchboard came out around the same time that I was playing with this thing.

The dead air I have described happens very often with this classic rock and prog rock station I listen to. They are a small radio station that can be hear only on 3 cities, and they usually mess up big time, leaving dead air for long periods of time, or having the DJs make stupid mistakes such as saying the name of the songs incorrectly. It's more unusual with other stations, but it does happen (I have seen it happen once, while on a radio station, seeing the presenter rush for the table after realizing he is playing the wrong song). So, it's not something unexplainable or anything like that, but still... I belive it was something else.

About the Ouija board, I will try it, even though you are all telling me not to. I wouldn't be really "scared", as I don't see how it could harm me, and it would give me some proof of an afterlife, which would be positive to me.

I'm still wondering why? Why change such an insignificant thing? Was Lucas so happy with the entire film (hard to believe) as is, but this lone transition stuck in his craw that it had to be changed for home video?

The DVD was probably not copied directly from the film, but assembled from the master tapes, so the transictions were probably re-assembled. I would say that was a mistake.

Penn and Teller: Bullshit!

I belive Penn and Teller should remain as magicians and leave ridiculous biased pseudo-docu-TV to other people. But I'm no fan of PETA either, as I always felt they missed the point, and I am not a vegetarian. Anyway, if you feel like supporting a group, support either greenpeace or any local support group for children care.

I hate that life seems to be made of tiny moments of tension and worry, which, when solved or passed by, are replaced by other small troubles. And life seems to never reach anywhere, and you never feel like it has finally settled down and you life has finally "began", and when you least expect, BANG, you die a horrible, painful death. No meaning, no sense, just a corpse inside a coffin and a trembling widow calling a credit card company to explain why they weren't able to pay that month.

Yeah, cause then you'll get run over by a car.

OK, I meant the sidewalk.

I remember the day before TPM came out, Leonard Maltin was on Entertainment Tonight and he was one of the first reviewers to see the film, and I'll never forget what he said:

Interviewer: Leonard, you saw TPM last night, how was it?

Maltin: Uhh..............it wasn't bad, uhh.......................it's not a bad film. (Saying it very reluctantly)

Interviewer: Is it like the old Star Wars movies?

Maltin: It's definitely different than what people may expect.

I remember watching that and saying to myself, "I have a bad feeling about this." Oh shit, something is not right about this film.

Remember guys, before TPM came out, it wasn't fashionable to bash Lucas, once the movie came out, and alot of fans were way disappointed, that is when everyone started burying it, cause it deserved it. But if look at interviews done before it came out, they never buried it, cause Lucas was still god at that time. By AOTC, reviewers were going to bury the film if they felt, Lucas was not untouchable anymore.

I remember watching this TV show on cable a week before the premiere or so, and they were saying how big this movie would be, and one of the guys on that show, who was a music producer said "well, I have contact with people who has seen the movie, and I can guarantee you this will BOMB, it's a bad, bad film...", a "weak film", that's what he said, and I remembered thinking "who is this guy to say anythng like that", but THAT was the first time I thought it COULD be bad.

Eventually, he was not 100% correct. It was worse than what he said it would be, and it did not actually bomb.

Hey, boss! I just came back from my 4 month business trip to Aruba! I'm sorry, but they don't seem to have capacitated people for us to hire as offshore IT specialists. Gonna have to take a look in Cancun next week, and... whait a minute, where is everybody? What happened here? DAMN NOT AGAIN! It's the third time I take a trip, and when I come back the company is out of business!
