Funniest Movie Ever
Time
Let's see if I can quote that from memory:

"Ok now what happens?"
"Well now, Sir Lancelor, Galahad and I wait until nightfall and leap out of the rabbit striking the french by surprise, not only by surprise, but totally unnarmmed!"
"Who leaps out of the rabbit?"
"Lancelot, Galahad, and I... leap... out of the rabbit... uh..."

You know, I have never played that Pink Floyd CD while watching Wizard of Oz. I want to sit down and do that someday, mainly because I've heard it's such a strange experience and it would just be fun to say I've done it.

I suggest an even better experiment: listening to Echoes (the wonderful song from the album Meddle, my favorite song btw) synched with 2001's last 24 minutes. You start the music as soon as those words - I belive it's "Jupter and beyond infinite" or something like that - appear onscreen. The music synchs perfectly to the stargate sequence and to the "hotel room" scene, and it ends exactly the same time as the movie. A very psychedelic experience, I did it only once (I own the album, but I don't have a 2001 copy anymore), and it was awesome.

Russian Roulette
Time
"Hello everybody, and welcome back to election night 2004. It has been an exciting election night so far, with only two candidates alive, John Kerry and George W Bush. The pistol now has only 1 bullet, and each candidate will grab that gun, point to his own head, and pull the trigger. Here with me I have George Bush Senior, who won the 1988 elections when Michael Dukakis blowed his brains out into oblivion. Mr Bush?"

"Thank you. Yes, this has been a bloody night, and I predict that the blood and brains of senator John Kerry will be on the wall right behind him. It will be great."

"Thank you, and now we go to the candidates... Mr Kerry picks up the pistol, and points to his head... And yes, he's alive, the bullet was not on the chamber! The pistol is passed to his oponent, George W Bush. Mr Bush Senior, any remarks?"

"Yes. This was unexpected. But I belive my son has a few tricks up his sleave."

"We'll soon see, as Mr. Bush grabs the pistol, and points to his own head, and... Oh GOD! He pointed the gun to Mr Kerry, pulled the trigger, and killed senator Kerry! Mr Bush is again the president of the United States, thanks to his unexpected trick. Bush Senior?"

"The gods of death have spoken. Now if you excuse me, I must lick senator Kerry's delicious brains out of that wall."

CGI and Digital or Real models and actors-whats your prefferance.?
Time
When I said that MAYBE CGI could replace live actors, I meant that the technology would be available for one to do so, but it won't really happen, because it's kinda difficult for a director to tell the animators how to make that character perform. Besides, you'll always need voice actors - unless you use synthetized voice, and that would be insane.

Did any of you see the "behind the cameras" footage on the AOTC DVD? There's a scene in which GL is trying to have Yoda perform perfectly in that "begun the clone war has" scene, and he asks the animators to do it again and again... And he's all like "aww guys c'mon... he's not supposed to be sad". Reminded me of Kubrick trying to get 200 takes of Shelley Duvall in The Shining, but instead of being a brilliant, insanelly perfectionist director, he's just an idiot with a hard-on for CGI.

Comedy is divided in "before Monty Python" and "after Monty Python". Do you know why spam is called spam? And why the word "pythonesque" is a real word now? Ni? Nobody expects the spanish inquisition? Nudge-nudge knowhatimean, knowhatimean, say no more? Always look at the bright side of life? Since you're not familiar with MP skecthes and movies, you must think I'm a bit of a loony here...

New Dracula Legacy Collection DVD
Time
Maybe they wanted to reproduce the original theatrical release, was it censored at the time of the original release, or later (which would not make much sense to me)?

The Frankeinstein one has that original line, something like "now I know how it feels to be God"? That was censored back in the original release. They used to censor silly things back in the 30s. If they watched today's movies, it would blow their minds out...

MORE CHANGES!!! (for the 2004 OT DVD release)
Time
First of all, Bobba Fett originally was not on ANH, BUT... he was probably created around that time, as he appears in the tv special. I belive his mask was one of the rejected Vader masks, back when they were doing concept art, around '74, '75.

And I remember seeing somewhere that GL intended to have a stop-motion creature on the man's place. That would be horrible, just horrible! Worse than today's Jabba...
