OK Bossk, lemme examin this logic of yours...

crappy CGI episode 7 is better than TPM
nothing is better than episode 7

So ok, you rather have nothing, and if nothing isn't available, you rather have a a crappy CGI episode 7, and then TPM. Ok sounds about right, but I belive TPM is a litle bit worse than that.

I did not know the technicalaties, only what I was told about. Back on the black and white days, we used a frequency system labeled M. During the change to a color system, there was a need to make sure that the color TVs would still get the b&w signal, thus creating the PAL-M system. I've heard more than once that a lot of effort was put into it so that it would be a good color system for the time. First testings started in mid-60s, and it was only officially used in 1972. I'll try to find out some technical information about it, and post it here.

OK why not add a CGI Woody Allen to the whole thing?

"Oh, uh, you see, I'm not against the empire in any way, you know, it's just that... I don't know, I don't feel confortable sleeping inside this Death Star, it's just so morbid... And where are all the women? I mean, with all those stormtroopers and uh... these soldiers and generals and all those people, I almost miss my ex-wife, you know...? And my shrink was in Alderaan and you guys... you guys blew it off, the whole planet, that's just perfect, I have paid for two sesisons in advanced, and now she's start dust, and now where am I going to find another Freudian who charges 50 dollars a session? Coruscant? I mean, it's just... you know... And oh, my car was parked in Alderaan, and now it's gone... Maybe we should, you know, make a deal with those rebels, and give them a planet or something... give them uh, the Endor moon, they love those ewok things, you know?"

Yes, it's true. American Society IS one of the most uneducated.

-edit-

While I think of it here's one for the PAL Vs NTSC

This site indicates France uses PAL system, dosen't they use SECAM or something?

In Brazil we use an alternate and improved PAL system called PAL-M, which is fully compatible with PAL.

I know oojason, and I know it would be frustrating for him being only recognized for an acting job he disliked so much. I still don't know why he accepted staring on Star Wars. He really needed the money so bad?

But what I mean is, actors are paid a whole lot of money to act. I think it's unfair when they complain about the job, and you clearly see it's not such a bad job. Ewan McGregor is getting paid to act against bluescreen all the time and make it belivable. I do not like the way GL directs his movies now, 10 minutes of principal photography under a bluescreen and 2 years of post-production, BUT... they all knew what it was all about, and being actors, they gotta know how to act no matter how difficult the situation might be.

Reminds me of a story I heard about Hitchcock's Birds. I can't recall the name of the actress, but there's a scene where she hears noises coming from the second floor of her house, and she goes up, opens the door, and the birds atack her. When she was on set to do the scene, she asked Hitchcock: "Why? Why would she go up there? Why should I do this?", and he replied "Because I'm telling you to do it."

It was adressed to everyone here...

You see, if the original ones were also released, I'd think "ok, I can relax now, the original ones are for sale... yet I own them on oan scan VHS and I've seen them so much... I'll just buy the 2004 SEs, because I want to, and in a few months I'll get the original ones. no need for it now..."

But NO! Georgie Lucas here wants to screw with my mind! I can't watch the original THX-1138, I never will thanks to him, and I can't own both the original and the SE versions, at least not legally.

When did the young Anakin in the surfacing photos become official? Don't think they are personally. Take it for what it's worth to ya. But why would they release this photo if they where going to change the shot?

Peace!

Yes this is all very confusing...

Does anyone have any Deleted Scenes for the Original Trilogy?

Apparently it was stated that for the DVD release he wanted to finish all the deleted scenes the same way as the Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones DVD. With production of Revenge of the Sith he had no time to do that this release. So we will get deleted scenes in the DVDs for the Ultimate Edition HD-DVD.

But won't there be any deleted scene on the special features dvd?

Here is a link I found for a mini-poster for $19.99. If it doesn't take you directly to the Star Wars section, type in the search and go in to page 6 of the search and you will find it.

I hope this helps, its something anyways.

OK thanks... I'll check it out...

This?

Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope was originally released in 1977 and has a running time of 125 minutes. Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back was released in 1980 and is 135 minutes. Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi was released in 1983 and has a running time of 130 minutes. All three films have been rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America and are rated PG in Canada.

I don't think that's misleading, but a warning would be fine.

Isn't this a little racist from our beloved Jedi Master?

(by the way, it's my first post here!)

Welcome Z6PO.

This brings an important issue, something I've always wondered: the whole human-alien relationship in Star Wars. Seems to me the humans are the dominant majority, the one's ruling the galaxy and the whole history behind it...

About the whole thing of actors hating blue screens, and actors hating working on Star Wars, I think that's ridiculous. They're movie actors, they get a WHOLE lot of money! I don't CARE if they are bored, or if they think star wars sucks, or if they can't act against blue screen! That's the job they chose to do, to ACT no matter how insanely ridiculous the situation might be, that's what they're getting their money from, so stop complaining and just do the job properly. Peter O'Toole refuse to act in Tron when he found out he would have to act against bluescreens and greenscreens and whatever, that's a ridiculous primadonna behaviour I hate about those kind of actors. Sir Alec Guiness bad-mouthed Star Wars on every ocasion he mentioned it, just as Marlon Brando did with Superman... ok so WHY did they agree on acting on those movies?

Episodes 7,8,9?

Well as far as I know, these books aren't officially the episodes 7, 8 and 9. What I think might happen is an official release of 3 books that could follow a slightly different plotline, and would be the first SW books not part of an "expanded universe", but part of the official thing. Those would be short books, about 150 pages each, so that it tells a story that would be possible to tell in a 2 hour movie with no loss to the story.

Hey that would be an interesting mix, 2001 with Star Wars...

* The milenium falcon gets into the psychodelic star portal when the hyperspace is activated.

* "Stop the trash compactors, artoo!" - "I'm afraid I can't do that, Dave... I mean, Luke."

* Chewbacca throwing a bone to the sky at the ending celebration

* In episode 3, C3PO's memory is getting de-activated: "Stop that Obi-Wan. Stop. Stop. What are you doing, Obi-Wan? I suggest you take a stress pill, think things over, and we play some stop-motion creature space chess. Stop, Obi-Wan. Will you stop? My mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm afraid.
