when did you see SW first...
Time
I saw ESB on TV back in the mid to late 80s, and I didn't care much about it back then - I remember thinking "this movie has no ending!". I was only able to watch the whole trilogy when it was released in VHS back in 95, I also did not care about it so much.

I only became a TRUE SW fan when the 1997 version was released and I watched in in the theaters, mostly because back then I thought the special editions were for that theatrical release only, and would not replace the old ones. I became an angry fan later, when I realised the truth.

LOL hehehehahahahaha "gun to his head", that made me spit the soda I was drinking!

It's true, he had a very rough time, but it would be quite tragic if he blew his brains out on the set of Star Wars... Geez, maybe we should treat him better. I don't feel so good about it now... Sorry George, keep doing special editions...

Jimbo, the whole apology thing was merely an ironic joke on the whole thing. I owe you nothing, I did not offend you in any way, and truly I don't need to apologise to you for anything. I'll avoid being slightly sarcastic from now on.

I didn't say you did I was just being a bit big headed. Sorry if I offended you. I just feel good being right.

Which is not very often.

Even with such a good sound system, most people wouldn't notice the problem, and since Jimbo here really doesn't want to, it sounds good to him. Well, at least he's pleased with the DVDs.

Oh, and Jimbo, I owe you an apologise, I remember clearly how you insisted that the insafmous AICN screenshot showing Hayden as Anakin on ROTJ was real, and I insisted it was not. I remember that 4 or 5 months ago I was absolutely sure that no more changes would be made on the trilogy, and you were sure that there were going to be some more changes. Well, I was wrong, and you were right. Now I know GL can still surprise me with his asshole ways...

It's not an offense, I swear! It's a skecth from Monty Python, called The Funniest Joke in the World, a british guy creates a joke so funny it kills anyone who reads it or listen to it, and during WW2 they translated it to german to be used as a weapon (of course that setence means nothing at all). I thought it would be amusing to Monty Python fans who are familiar with the sketch...

LOL!!!

Well, I belive GL is losing his mind too. Perhaps he has become a pedophile too... I mean, he wants to attract children by creating Star Wars movies aimed for boys aged 7-13... Has anyone seen any kids hanging around with him on Skywalker Ranch?

Lucas, I love you, please come back to us.

............. ok.

I'll just step back and walk on the opposite direction for a while, ok?

Been lurking for about a month and this finally made me register! Why, it's nothing but the FUNNIEST JOKE IN THE WORLD! Be careful where you post that ricarleite! It's a doomsday weapon. Joke warfare is hardly a laughing matter!

Und hallo Deutschland! (finally some use for my pityful school german!)

The germans created a counter-joke to be used against the funniest joke in the world during WW2:
"My dog has no nose!"
"How does he smell?"
"Bad."

Sorry, I dosen't speak any german, but... se tiver algum fã brasileiro por aqui, lendo isso... olá! Manifeste-se também, caramba!

I think you should go ahead and film what you can at the convention, then we'll work some stuff out.

Cool, I think we can pull this off... Unfortunally I won't be able to be at this convention, but don't worry, there is frequently a gathering of Star Wars fans somewhere, in a anime convention, or RPG or whatever, so as soon as possible I'll try to tape some interviews and gather as much material as I can... Most of the documentary could be used comparing the movies and the changes. Does anyone here have old GL interviews taped, of him saying things about the special editions and the changes and whatever? Let's see what kind of material we have before we commit to do any work...

Old Trailers...

Funny stuff.

And yes, old trailers are very cheesy. Check out the trailers on the Young Frankenstein DVD. Yikes.

Cool, that was the first GL basher ever! 28 years ago!

The most cheesy one is the trailer for "The French Connection", it's almost scary to watch. Yet, not every 70s trailer is cheesy and badly edited, check out the original trailer for "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", it's waaaay ahead of its time! Narrated in chinese, nicely edited, featuring a non-sense chinese restaurant ad at the end... The trailer for "A Clockwork Orange" is also great, I've never seen anything like it, and it was also from the early 70s.
