"Ahh... what happened? Where am I? Last thing I remember, I was in a hospital room, and..."

"Welcome to the future, Mr. Guiness. This is the year 2079. We brought you back from the dead using a crazy new technology called 'magic'."

"What? I'm back from the dead? Why, I must search for my relatives! Start my life again!"

"Uh... well, actually, we brought you back so you can do some extra scenes for Star Wars."

"What? That horrible movie I made back in the 1970s? Why?!"

"Well, we made some changes on the fifteen Star Wars trilogies, and nw we need to reshoot some dialogue. First, when you see R2D2, instead of saying 'I don't remember ever owning a droid', you'll say 'Mom! You still have your brain inside that R2 unit!', and you'll cry."

"What?!"

"Oh, and instead of fighting Vader on the Death Star and being killed, you'll fight Grievious 2, Vader Jr., Vader Sr., Luke's clone from the future, yourself from the future, a cyborg Yoda, and you'll survive, so you can be on 'Empire Strikes Back'. We changed some scenes on that film so you become a punk-rocker surfer who lives in Alderaan. Also, Alderaan didn't explode."

"Is this supposed to be a joke? I refuse to do it!"

"... I see... Well, OK then, we have perfect CGI so we can replace you. It was a stupid idea anyway. Goodbye." *shoots Alec Guiness*

Well obviously, but this was just for him to be able to delete the file. Aftewards, restart the computer and everything is back.

He won't do it. I think they will aproach GL with an incredible sum of money asking him to do it, but I think he won't. I'm not sure what'll happen when GL dies... Although this might take, what, another 30 years? Maybe more?

When SW gets into public domain, by the year 2052 (75 years?), then it'll be party time! We'll have episodes minus 5 to 200...

tip: go to task manager and kill every process with your username in (not LOCAL SERVICE, NETWORK SERVICE or SYSTEM), except explorer. That should do the trick. If not, enter prompt mode in safety mode and try to delete it. If still you can't delete it, open you PC, grab the hard disk and LICK it! Remove the bits with your tongue!

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

The movie has not opened here yet, I think it'll take a couple of weeks - I have seen posters and ads. People here are not familiar with the books, although I've seen them for sale in portuguese. I didn't want to see it, mostly because it I felt that the movie would ruin the book's original story, but now I'm curious about it, and I'll give it a try. So, without giving any spoilers, how far does the movie go? As much as the first book?

Things you DID like about Episode III
Time
* Order 66. A good surprise, and very well architected. Felt like a good plot twist, and made the whole movie a bit darker. Nicely directed and scored, also. Very good.

* Owen Lars holding Luke, looking at the sun. It was an OK ending, although it should have been switched with...

* ... the infamous "Tarkin" scene. It was nice to see the Star Destroyer bridge, an early TIE passing by, Tarkin, and imperial officers down there. Felt like ESB for exactly 6 seconds. When I get the DVD I'll pause at this scene and admire that moment for a full hour.

* Ewan McGregor did an excelent job, and his final speech as Anakin is all burned down is very nice.

* If you compare to the previous prequels, it's actually a much better SW episode, so that's a good thing on its own.

* The first 10-15 minutes were filled with good paced action and story. I liked it.

Things you DID NOT like about Episode III

* Grievious was not menacing at all, and was better portraited as avillain in "clone wars". It was a stupid badly acted anti-character.

* There were major continuity problems and ridiculous plot holes large enough for a truck to go through, things a child could detect after reading the script, but that's how the prequels are.

* Not enough Vader. and I mean the REAL Vader. After he gets the suit the movie ends in about 2 minutes. We should get at least 15 more minutes of film after the suit.

* Cut scenes that SHOULD NOT be cut. The scene in Dagobah and Qui-Gon's scene SHOULD have been in the final movie. There was absolutely no reason for removing them. Pace problems? Those scenes were in the final 5 minutes! By cutting Qui-Gon's scene, he cut from the SW saga the whole explanation about the Jedi spirits!

* Anakin's fall to the dark side is too drastic and not well played. It seems like GL was aiming for a subtle change, but suddenly he saw himself at page 100 on the script and decided to just make him go to the dark side like that *snaps fingers*. Also, Anakin becomes Palpatine's servant too easily. But then, if you think about it, there was NO way to make that character go to the dark side in a 2 and a half hour movie...

* The middle section feels rushed AND slow at the same time, and that's not good. It suffers from the same problem as the prequels: two-sided dialogue being rapidly intercut by... a two-sided dialogue. And again. And again. Headache material here, folks.

* R2D2's absolute power, with oil and jets. They did an excelent job erasing the droid's memories, as R2 also forgot his abilities...

* Acting. While ROTS has the best actings in the prequels, it still have some horrible moments. Natalie Portman's acting in the first half of the film, Ian McDiamand going a little bit over the top and changing his voice characterization in the middle of the scenes (later dub problems, perhaps?). Hayden's every scene. Samuel L Jackson and Ewan McGregor, when they are forced to act to absolutely nothing (you can FEEL the greenscreen on their acting sometimes).

* While the SFX were not as disturbing and horrible as the previous prequels movies, it is still very annoying.

* J.E. Jones horrible job as Vader. Even though he had three lines, and one of them was "noooooo!", he delivered them like he didn't care.

* Hayden in Vader suit, acting as a fool. DAVID PROWSE should be there. He deserves it.

* Padme's death. She gave up living and died of a broken heart? What is this, an early Shakespeare play? A Byron poem? Absolutely ridiculous.
