I'd say it was more like a month or two!

Yes, and THAT's why I've said that the fan edit should switch the Owen Lars / Star Destroyer scenes. to me, it is clear that the SD scene happened waaay after the events on ROTS. Apparently GL and Ben Burtt missed "editing 101" while in college.

Yes, I knew I've seen a character named Commander Cody before! There were these crappy matine shorts with Commander Cody and his crappy adventures, I've seen those on MST3K

("A new character: Commander Cody" appears on screen)
Crow: "Hey look, it's a new character!"
Joel: "No, it's the same old character..."

Leia, on the other hand, was a name she just pulled out of her ass.

(yeah yeah... she didn't know whether she was having a boy or a girl, so had both names picked out, etc, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah)

Wouldn't it be funny as hell if she had another son, she had triplets, and it was called Wedge, and left with capt. Antilles? I would probably get up and leave the theater...

Ok that was what confused me about V and the voice credit on IMDB and then the newer edition hearing that it was Ian.
So they simply changed the voice for the newer V but not the visuals.
Clearly I need to watch the original IV, V, and VI again and I haven't since 1997 and my memory
of it has gotten fuzzy.
Thanks!

No cyberdave, they actually changed the whole emperor on the ESB DVDs, not only the voice.

1- I never really thought of that... Maybe he has that disease, like in "Jack". It's not that much of a plot hole though, let's asume he was on his what, late 30s early 40s on ROTS? Therefore on his late 50s early 60s on ANH...

2- My answer to that is simple: that particular scene takes a some years AFTER the twins are born. Notice how all the officials on the Super Star Destroyer bridge have uniforms, Palpatine wouldn't have thousands of uniforms just waiting for his plan to succeed.

3- Not really a plot hole or movie question so...

4- The first question: he does recognize R2D2, but he couldn't say anything to Luke just yet. The second question: obviously a plot hole caused by the excess of CGI on the prequels.

5- Apparently not. Not really a plot hole, so let's move on...

6- She wanted him to be named Luke, so what? Not a plot hole at all.

Thanks!

The emperor does not appear on episode 4. On episode 5, the emperor was voiced by Clive Revill and it's face was a woman I think, with gorilla eyes overimposed. On the 2004 DVDs, it's Ian McDiarmid. On VI, I, II and III, it was Ian McDiarmid.

A Question of Ewoks
Time
I don't mind the Ewoks, I don't hate them. Of course, I wouldn't say that the Ewoks movies are cinema masterpieces, but...

There's only ONE thing I didn't like about the Ewok's battle in ROTJ: there's this scene in which they cut down ropes and two huge tree logs come down and smash a AT-ST... How is that possible?! How could they do that? How could those tiny little Ewoks cut down two trees and tie them up waaay up high in a few minutes (while Solo and his troup was being held inside) and make sure the AT-ST gets EXACTLY where they wanted?!
