Not for the reason you imply. He disliked that his newfound popularity was due mainly to this sci-fi cult film, rather than his earlier, and rather spectacular, body of work.

Yeah, I'm sure that today, most people remember him for his work on Star Wars, and it could get rather frustrating to be typecast as Obi-Wan Kenobi for the rest of your life.

Yeah, but I don't think Alec Guiness would have ever had that problem. He made alot of great films in the US and the UK before Star Wars. It'd be like saying Liam Neeson will always be typcast as Qui Gonn or Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan.

Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor are on the peak of their carreers right now, so they won't be typecasted. With Alec Guiness, all his major work was done before SW and he was unknown to younger audiences. Mark Hammil had no carreer before SW, so he got that Luke Skywalker image he couldn't (and still can't) shake off. Fortunally, Mark Hammil knows how to deal with it.

Some movies I can suggest to create a "fan edition":

**** SPOILERS AHEAD ****

* Eyes Wide Shut (US audiences only): Restore the orgy scenes and that religious book reading scene - I can't recall the name of the book right now, Bradva Gita or something like that?

* Kill Bill vol 1 & 2: The japanese Kill Bill 1 DVD edit (which features more violence / more anime / full color) + the american Kill Bill volume 2 edit (which features the whole Pai Mei sequence). When the music for the credits appear - when David Carradine is talking off-camera at the end of vol 1 - fade to the first chapter in volume 2, keeping the music, and fade out the music. I think it's possible to create Tarantino's original 1-part-only-film like this. Also, are there any additional scenes with Gogo? I think there are...

* Close Encounters: Add the additional scenes (the ship in the desert / Richard Dreyfuss inside the spaceship) to the original 1977 cut.

Star Wars musical?
Time
I remember seeing a college production of "Star Wars - the Musical" some years ago on the internet. I remember a video in which after Han Solo singed, Chewbacca came in under applause and cheering, and began to break dance and spin.

I don't think it's the same one, though. This one reminds me of that "Silence of the Lambs - The Musical" that Bossk posedt once.

CGI Yoda for TPM

The thing is, although GL and Lucasfilm says that SW was always visualized as 4, later 3, later 2 trilogies, GL really only had "Star Wars" in mind as a single movie, period. There was no backstory and no sequel. After the movie was proved to be succesful, he came up with a backstory for episodes 5 and 6, calling Star Wars episode 4. He was quoted as saying that he would not produce the prequels nor the sequels, but eventually he changed his mind and came up with the prequels. It is MORE than obvious for all of us that he made the prequels up as he needed to. So he basically writes just as much as he needs to, and later lie, saying it's a whole part of a planned series. I mean, check out the novelizations, check out the original scripts, the deleted scenes, he had NO idea what was going to happen on the following movies (quoting Mark Hammil as he found out that Luke was Leia's sister: "Oh come on, George! You came up with that on the plane trip over here, didn't you?!"). Also, notice how GL has given contradictory answers when asked if Anakin disapear when he died...

Is there anything wrong with that, with coming up with the story as you go along with it? Hell no, and he actually did a good job at it. What I don't like is Lucasfilm and GL lying and saying it was all planned, when it was not.

Actually, no one possessed this power until Lucas was filming the end of ANH. Ben was originally supposed to survive ANH, but his character did nothing after leaving the DS, so Lucas killed him off. The "Ghost" stuff came later.

Guinness was not too happy about this change, I might add.

Not really. Guiness was more than happy to be killed off. He was the one who insisted.

ROTS: The Droids...
Time
R2D2's rockets: basically, he didn't have the technology to do it during the 70s, and he does now. GL never cared for plot holes, he IS a walking plot hole, all he wanted is a neat visual effect for R2.

No, I don't think Vader ever saw Threepio on the OT... On ANH, he MIGHT have seen C3PO while he was fighting with Obi-Wan ("this is our chance, come on"), but he wouldn't stop fighting and say hello to his droid. Besides, he didn't care anymore about him anyway...

Uncle Owen: Yes, it is a plot hole. Maybe Owen had his memory wiped out too. Or maybe he thought it was a different droid. Who cares anyway, Owen and Beru get toasted 20 minutes later anyway.

Obi-Wan: he didn't want to discuss them, maybe?

Of course, these are all huge plot holes because GL wanted to have the droids on the prequels so he could sell products with them, such as toys.

Simple - there should be no qui-gon, his character sahould have been called OBI-WAN. Obi-Wan could have had a young padawan who gets killed by Darth Maul and obi-wan then takes on Anakin. Qui-gon was very warm and caring towards Anakin, as Obi-Wan should have. The 'friendship' should have begun in the first movie.

Unfortunally, I agree.

Its a relatively new Submarine Simulation game, I've heard some good reviews about it, but I've learned to take them with an industrial sized bag of salt.

After that immature and retarded X-Play review, I'm not touching that game with a 10 foot pole.

Besides, any time I buy a PC game it's wasted money. I never play anything on PC.

Why? PC's do have some advantages over consoles. Easier to have multiplayer, since networks are run FOR computers. It's easier to maintain and can be upgraded. Are more acessible, it's easier to find a cheap computer than a cheap console. Can be programmed and tweaked easily. the only bad things are instalation and hardware requirement issues.

What mother would not stay with her children and she even says there's still good in him and still "she's lost the will to live??!!!" Baah.

Perhaps she had an early stage of post-birth depression, and she killed herself by biting her toungue or injecting a poison off-camera. Again, let's all remind that the prequels were written by George "Plot Holes" Lucas, everyone.
