I copied this file last night to my google drive and today, at work, could stream the mp3 I have on google drive.
Came home, could not stream or download ANYTHING. Error messages and dead ends left and right.
Log in to my Google Drive via microsoft edge and can stream and download at will. Really, really weird.
I agree with an comment a couple up about the KoR dialogue. I like the dialogue but the sound doesn’t really blend, did not watch through browser if that helps. I thought it sounded too loud.

I think it would be a good idea to do another WP and call it a day until whatever odds and sods are produced to call it done. Quite honestly the thread has devolved into change/tweak things for the sake of changing/tweaking things.

Ben doesn’t get a whole lot to say, either. In my ROTJ cut I eliminated the Ben scene entirely and let Darth Vader do the math via the Force about the other child and be the revelator of that. It works much, much better.
When I bought the OT on VHS I recut my Super 8 films & years later when I got a laserdisc player I did my first stab at a chronological Back to the Future and I did a supercut of Krystof Kieslowski’s Three Colors trilogy as one movie.
Option 3, if you like the scene (like I do) then use the edit as a base and make your own version restoring it.

not sure how close it is to a v.1 but please consider that the folks who populate this site represent a wide spectrum of abilities and access to the internet. When this is released please ensure it is accessible to the intended audience, we all aren’t on ‘‘the spleen’’ and that jdownloader thing…I don’t personally know anyone who ever got it to work.
I make my own edits and I have been really impressed by the clips shown, I don’t have the skills or time that you all are investing in this to do things to the scale that you are…I’d really like to be able to see this when it’s done and every time I see another cool post the 1st thing I think is how hard is getting a copy of this going to be?
I think the Poe humor in TFA and TROS is some of the worst in the entire franchise, especially the recylced joke from Lost in the beginning of TFA. I agree that JJA needs someone to reign him in, he’s super creative but needs some inflexiible limits imposed on him.
Regarding the film in question in this thread, I am a bit more forgiving of it than others, however I am really excited to see how this FE project turns out.
If you’re looking for inserts to drawn out some scenes I think some of the ocean wave scenes from Interstellar could be pilfered to provide more of a sense of environment to the scenes with the partially submerged wreckage of the Death Star.
Regarding the Reynbow; she’s a Jedi, not Maud Dib.
I did love that concept art in the BTS of her sitting on the Skywalker dome watching the sunset, wish they would have executed that instead.
This attitude is unbelievable for such a big, mainstream blockbuster.
It should not be that surprising from a movie done by the same director that earlier gave you a movie with Luke’s recovered lightsaber…and even included a chiding scene where a character says that the backstory for that is ''for another time." Or that the original idea for the opening of TFA was Luke’s hand clutching the saber floating through space.
Kylo Ren’s motivations toward Rey change pretty quickly in this one (like a lot of the movie, I guess).
Maybe that could be made more acceptable by tweaking a scene, if possible, where Palpy articulates that he knows Ren has feelings for ''the scavenger girl" and somehow validates them…maybe a warning that ''your feelings for her will be your undoing." Something like that would work on two levels, one, Ren’s ‘‘anything you can do I can do better’’ attitude and, two, making the Reylo flip a bit easier to digest timewise. Oh and then he does end up being undone due to her feelings for her so it would validate to a bit Palpy’s continuing forciness.
The movie is like a John Tesh cd, too many crescendos and climaxes and not enough melody and song.

While John Williams has been a consistent architect of music for these films I think that some of these sequences would be better served with no music, just the fight and the sounds of the world around them. Sometimes less is more. Rise of the Skywalker is the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom of this franchise, it needs to be allowed to breathe more than it was. Aside from Rey Palpatine it’s alright, if it wasn’t a rollercoaster and more of a story it would be a better watch.
How about moving the opening of TROS to the opening of TLJ?
This changes Kylo Ren’s motivation throughout the movie and, adding the failed Snoke clones, would serve as an enhancer to why he wipes out Snoke when he has a chance with Rey and moves to consolidate his power base.
I liked the dagger bullshit in so far as it felt like a bit from Indiana Jones.
This movie is the “Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom” of the Star Wars franchise.
This movie needs an extended cut. It’s far too fast paced.
And for a ‘ridiculous’ edit, Mace Windu could tell Rey to, “Waste the motherfucker.”

When someone does a slapstick edit of this remember that Carrie Fisher was all about the glitter, she should have had a glitter saber.
I seriously enjoyed the movie, just saw it solo today as I wasn’t sure if there was content that would be too much for my youngest son.
The only cuts that would make me happy is removing any and all Rey is Palpy’s grandspawn. I always loved the Rey is a nobody from Jakku angle.
I don’t know if I may say this either in the Mandalorian spoiler thread of this one as there is cross-pollination at possible play here…I suspect that the person behind the person who put the bounty on the Yodling is Palpatine. He needs something that is loaded with the Force to hopefully rejuvenate himself.
