STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 <strong>REVISITED</strong> ADYWAN *<em>1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION</em>

Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. It’s the only way to fanedit the way you were meant to.

It’s Imperial March not Darth Vader’s theme song. The Imperial March is in Episode 2,3, Rogue one and even Solo: A Star Wars story. In episode 6 it’s used when the Emperor arrives at the Death Star. Playing the Imperial March for the Revisited’s grand reveal of the Death Star is fitting. That being said, Rogue One Death Star music is fine. Whatever Adywan thinks is best for the scene.

John Willaims disagrees with you

And Yoda may be saying the sacred texts are not really helpful for the current mess. Times change.
Religion, ethical systems, etc. they’re supposed to teach you how to be a person who knows how to act, you don’t particularly need to run back to the owners manual and read chapter 3 again to figure out how to respond to a situation, you’ve learned and you can roll with whatever life throws at you.

When I first watched this fanedit I actually skipped ahead to see if something was fixed or not, it baffles me that in all the official tweaking of this movie that they never have fixed it. It’s the scene in the Death Star with Tarkin and Vader talking and Vader finishes his sentence and then 2-3 seconds later he’s shaking his hand in the air to emphasize what he’s saying but…he’s done talking. And every sanctioned do-over of the movie, this is the first place I head to hoping to see that…oh, crap, they didn’t fix it. Again.

Star Wars: The Last Skywalker Awakens - A sequel trilogy &quot;mega-edit&quot; (<em>RELEASED</em>)
Time

I’ve been casually looking at your preview videos.
An observation about the Holdo’s sacrifice clip - Hux makes the trip from the bridge to Snoke’s throne room very quickly, especially on a ship that has just been sliced and diced by a Mon Calimari Ginsu Cruiser.
I know you’re trying to tighten up three movies into one edit but that watches like a speed bump to me (I feel the same way about C3P0 in TESB, in one shot he’s in the command center on Hoth and then literally in the next scene he’s in the hangar telling R2 to be careful).
Your Journey To Exegol scene is very nicely done.

Speaking of Palpatine clones, I suggest changing them so they all look different from each other but in their own unique, mutilated ways, although one closely resembles Snoke but with some of Palpatine’s facial features — adds to the inference that Palpatine is horrible at manufacturing lifeforms, hence why his body is decaying and deteriorating, and why he can’t just make an entire army of Snokes.

EDIT: Also, make the clones in question dead, implying that Palps’ clone vessel and Snoke himself were barely successes.

OH YEAH! Like Alien: Resurrection!

An image can say a thousand words in any language.

I realize that you’re just presenting a humorous pic that dovetails with the topic at hand, however if that changed to Jyn Erso as a kid holding up her stormtrooper toy…that would be really awesome and could work in the edit. It would also tie into two of the characters in this movie being ex-stormtroopers.

I agree generally with Neerbs comment however I think adding Leia to this is important and also a really nice transition from her death scene. Sure she isn’t a Jedi master because she derailed her training due to her premonitions about her son but she is a pretty Force-y character. She was Rey’s mentor for training and including her in the array brings the Jedi part of the relationship full circle.

Star Wars - Episode IV: The Heir of Skywalker (V2 Released)
Time

It’s a very interesting take on the movie.
The main change is the changes to the color and the music as others have pointed out.
I’ve seen the movie so many times that some of it was jarring to me and some was quite nice.
The music changes I could have done without, however that sounds harsh and I am simply one who thinks there’s a bit too much music in movies (particularly more modern ones). I am a big fan of relative silence with some dialogue and ambient noises.

The creative touches are nice. I like the hologram briefing on the Death Star and I really like the little Empire recruitment spot in the Mos Eisley cantina. What would be really sweet, if you do a V3, would be to tweak that and make it a wanted announcement for a missing ship that is trying to join the rebellion and sneak in a shot of Biggs Darklighter. I think that the most ispired one is how the Falcon enters the Death Star slipping through the docking bays shield. I like how there is a suggestion that the shields don’t have to come down per se, they might just be dialed down for a bit to allow things to come and go while still providing some protection.
The work with Alderan’s destuction is interesting, you have some creative things happening here and should be rightlfully proud of yourself. I look forward to future efforts of yours.

Star Wars: <strong>The Rise Of Skywalker</strong> Redux Ideas thread

The Art of the Force Awakens book refers to Rey repeatedly as Kira.
What I find interesting is that in the Solo movie they basically recycle that name (Kira becomes Qi’ra).
There’s also a fair amount of pre-production art in there for TFA that appears to have found it’s way into later efforts, including The Mandalorian (sometimes blatantly and sometimes more nuanced).

Rise of the Rebellion: A Rogue One Edit (Released)

I like the Survival Cut as an alternate experience to the original…however, you know there’s a gaping plot hole created now. The scene with Jyn running on the beach to the U-Wing at the end…she’s carrying the Scarif hard drive with the Death Star plans. So if the U Wing with her on board goes to light speed, escaping the battle, the secret plans are on there and there is no reason for her and the team not to go back to Yavin 4. Which makes the plot of A New Hope redundant.

Most Powerful Quote in all the Star Wars films.
Time

You knew my father?
Here’s my take on an underappreciated facet of Star Wars and the world for kids in 1977.
There was a huge explosion in divorce in the early 1970’s and society really wasn’t prepared for it.
I’ll give you an example, my parents got divorced and my dad wanted to see our report cards. There were no policies for this sort of thing. He was told the custodial parent got it haveaniceday. Off to court he went, he had a right to see our report cards without going through his ex-wife.
There were a lot of kids growing up largely without dads.
I feel that the scene with Luke and Ben really resonated for a lot of us, even though being 8,9,10, 11 years old we weren’t really consciously aware of it…it spoke to us.
That scene in Ben’s house, when you’re a ten year old kid that’s when you get up to go pee, get some more popcorn, whatever. It’s a slow scene.
“You knew my father?” Yeah, our butts stayed in our seats, Luke was us.

The Mandalorian Season 1 &amp; 2 Mixed Edit Ideas? (Spoilers)
Time

Horesz1994 said:

To be completely honest, I’d download and watch the shit out of a cut of the Mandalorian wherein a whole season is cut together, only leaving out the recaps and end credits, preferably with timed English subs. I unfortunately have no talent or time or skill to do it, but even if it would be 4+ hours long, it would be practical for me. And now we have 2 full seasons, so 8-10 more hours of Star Wars content worthy of long runtimes.

This is almost what I did with mine. 4 x films approx 2 hrs 20 min each.
Trimmed two lines of dialogue.
Removed one scene that doesn’t work for me.
Moved three scenes:

  1. opens with mando as a kid being rescued (move #1)
  2. moves to peaceful village being attacked (move #2)
    and then episode 1 start

move #3 involves moving the ashoka scene scene that starts her episode to later in the episode so it looks like she comes to the village, says what she has to say, is rebuffed and then she and mando go after liberating the village (I had to cut one line of dialogue here to make it work).

Cut - mando’s skype session with gideon. Just doesn’t work for me.

I have the original Star Wars program book. Beautiful, but with a weird pink fading. Only seems to affect the text.

I bought mine new in a theater in 1977 and it was printed pink.
I’ve bought another which is not pink, I think it was probably a printer error and someone shrugged and said, eh, who’s gonna care? Ship 'em and sell 'em.
