While I'm waiting for more ROTJ 35mm footage, I decided to take Team N1's recent Grindhouse release of Empire and start experimenting with it for ESB v2.5 and here's the result:

(In order to see the full quality, you have to download it, not just watch it in your browser.)

 Impressive.
Most impressive.
With the new team_negative1 Empire release now available.
Is it possible that the next EMPIRE Despecialized, can be?
100% GOUT free!

I was watching the Rankin/Bass Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer. When the abominable snow monster of the north showed up I at first thought. It kind of reminds me of the wampa ice creature. Then I remembered that Rudolph came out in 1964.I am now wondering if George Lucas got the idea of the wampa from the abominable snow monster.

why do I feel like a misfit,

man i feel like a nitwit.

Is the post better now, with the words all mashed together like cars in a traffic jam??

Team Negative1 - The Empire Strikes Back 1980 - 35mm Theatrical Version (Released)
Time

You probably have me beat but I have 3 faces VHS trilogy’s. 1 ROTJ faces VHS stand alone

and before the faces VHS of ESB and ROTJ. 1 Gold 1997 VHS trilogy a Gold ANH and ESB VHS stand alone. And the last VHS trilogy 1 full frame and 1 wide.

Than I have2 2004 DVD trilogy’s. I pre ordered 2 I did not Know they would be worse than the 1997 trilogy I got used to. GOUTs and sadly 2 more 2004s giving me 4 2004s.

And then I have the blurays

Part of the problem here is that a raw scan of a single film is over 20TB, i.e. over $700 worth of HDDs. Not easy to share or distribute.

As for entitlement, nobody *has* to share anything, especially something they may have sunk thousands of hours and thousands of dollars into, but I am glad when people do :)

OK
I had a thought.
What if you scaled down the frames so you
could have like 1 TB per real.

I would think that would still be much better than 1080p
Maybe 2 ½ K?
But small enough that you could share it.

This is why I think having more than one copy is a good idea even if you have LPP.

For one burned in dirt removal. If there is dirt on one frame of one
print but not on the other that dirt should be removed. as the dirt is print specific. If dirt is on both prints its more likely something that was on all prints and you may want to leave it. Also I said this before.
Some one may make a program that can put 2 frames together and cancel out grain not on both prints and leave grain on both prints, as will as putting the details missing from 1 or the other print.

the garbage mattes
I first saw a garbage matte on a VHS formed over R2D2 in the X wing.
I just thought oh that’s the shielding.
But when I got the 2004 DVD watched the seen with the TIE’s and the falcon
and there were garbage mattes galore I thought what TIE’s don’t have shielding WTF?
I had my brightness to hi to compensate for the dark DARK DVD.

Problem with HP G60-635DX Notebook Please help
Time

Thanks for the info.
I have scanned with Norton Internet Security and I only found tracking cookies. I deleted them.
The laptop is not currently having the problem but if it happens again  I will try plugging it in to another monitor.

I just hope I do not fry the other monitor as that would be another expense.

Is it possible there is a bad connection between where the laptop folds down?
