Criterion Collection: Adventures of Baron Munchausen & The Fisher King (Released)
Time
Actually I did see mention of it on the digitalbits. I assume it will be different extras than the Criterion release though.

Here:

digitalbits

"Also, we may already have mentioned this, but The Adventures of Baron Munchausen: 20th Anniversary Edition will street on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on 4/8. The DVD (SRP $19.94) will include audio commentary with director Terry Gilliam and co-writer/actor Charles McKeown, the 3-part The Madness and Misadventures of Munchausen documentary, storyboard sequences (with all-new vocal performances by Terry Gilliam and Charles McKeown) and deleted scenes. The Blu-ray (SRP $28.95) will add the Marvelous World of Munchausen enhanced graphics and trivia track."

Assuming that they make the picture look good on this, would a transfer of the LD still be warranted?

If not, I think that at least a disc of the Criterion extras would be great to have.

Adding still image to DVD

Yeah, I think that sounds good. A still clip will still give me that MST3K feel I'm looking for, and I don't think I'm quite ready for rotoscoping. Thanks for helping me, everybody.

By the way, if you're an MST3K fan, and you haven't checked out Rifftrax.com, I would highly recommend it! I bought rifftrax for the Matrix, Episode I and Transformers, and they are all hysterical! I was worried that they wouldn't be as good as they were way back when, but they've still got it.

Info: Fanboys doc?
Time
It's amazing to me how many times hollywood has screwed up a good film, in the interest of better sales. I thought that people in Hollywood were more enlightened than us fly-over state people. I guess the dollar rules supreme.

Oh well. Hopefully it's not true, someone got a cam copy, or it ends up as a deleted scene on the DVD.

Adding still image to DVD
Time
I recently purchased some Rifftrax (MST3K guys) mp3's for a few movies, and have been editing them together into a DVD, for my personal use. I've got the first one done, and it's great, but I want to try something that would make it even more cool.

Would it be possible for me to add a still image (specifically the classic MST3K "shadows") at the bottom of the picture? I know it would be static, and is kind of silly, but I think it would make it feel more like an MST3K show for me.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Even cooler would be a looping animation, of the guys/robots kinda moving around, but that seems like it would be insanely difficult for something that I'm going to watch in my basement. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

Just in case you lived in a cave/weren't alive during the 90's, here's what I'm wanting:

Info Wanted: Gobots series and movies?
Time

Does anyone have any Gobots video laying around? I know I’ll get beat up for asking for this, and I know that it was a horrible show, but it just brings back so many memories. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Transformers fan, and I would have watched that over Gobots, but my cable carrier didn’t have Transformers, so I had to settle for Gobots. I can’t find episodes anywhere, and I seriously doubt that they’re gonna be pulling them out of the vaults (or trash) any time soon. Anyone?

Sorry bout that. Bad timing over here. DSL went belly up today. Back up and runnin now and I can help seed.

Oh, I'm not on to you about it. There aren't enough people on this thread to equal the amount of (potential) seeds I saw for this, so I'm not blaming anyone in here. It's just amazing how quickly people hit and run with stuff like this, that really should be seeded. I feel a sense of duty in keeping something like this alive. I've been seeding the Koyaanisqatsi IRE version for over a year now.
