I really hope this turns out good. I'm fine with all the suits, they could have been much, much worse. I was particularly worried about Rorschach, since his costume is really kinda boring by todays standards. They pretty much made it identical to the comic. I'm more worried about Dr. Manhattan.

I've got to agree with Jay though. There will always be a percentage (though I don't think 10%) of people that are just plain f@#ked up. There are sadistic, animal torturing muslims, blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, non-military and any and every other group you can think of on the planet. It's not an American/British Military exclusive. I've seen plenty of awful videos of animal abuse. A lot more are not in the military than are.

It's a truly disturbing thing to see, and I'd like to meet a few of those people and dish out a little bit of justice, but it can't be blamed solely on being a soldier in iraq. I'm not trying to justify what they did though, they should be strung up by their nuts and left in a public area with a video of their actions playing behind them.

Jennifer Lopez is responsible for many more cruel animal deaths than those guys will ever rack up. Google those videos, and you will be TRULY disturbed.

Very interesting. I'm a little bit hesitant to see Koyaanisqatsi used in another context as it is in my top 5 films of all time, and I'm not the biggest fan of post-Barrett Pink Floyd (and don't want to open the debate on that subject), but this seems to actually work. If you don't mind, I have a couple thoughts.

Right at the beginning, when it switches from the heart monitor to the Koy footage, you delay the scene change just a second, or make it fade quickly, to line up with the cresendo of the opening guitar/drums intro. I would also recommend using the IRE fullscreen (not cropped widescreen) version of Koyaanisqatsi for the video footage (search these forums for more info). And finally, I would (personally) use less stills of the band, and more Koy. These are of course, just what I would do, but I just thought I would share some of my ideas.

Overall though, it's a pretty cool idea, and I wish I would have thought of it first, with other music . Definitely keep us updated on the DVD!

Nice to see another Transfan in here!

You know, I was disappointed at first when I heard that Welker was not going to be in the movie, but I think Weaving did a good job. I actually heard a recent tape of Welker doing Megatrons voice, and it wasn't quite as good as it used to be. I'm sure they could have beefed it up in post, like they did with Weaving, but it's too late now. I'll probably wait until the 3rd/G1 cut before I attempt to use the original voice. It's going to be quite a task, as the old cartoons loved their background music, and it's hard to seperate much dialogue.

Frenzy has been reduced a slight amount in this first cut, and most of his silly noises and english dialogue are gone. The ad-bots (dewbot/xbox-bot) are completely gone. While they're interesting Transformers, it kind of cheapens the Allspark, in my opinion. I may even cut the phone-bot in this next cut, not sure yet.

I don't think this will be on newsgroups (at least no one I know is putting it up yet), but it will be on RS, and probably torrents eventually. If you have too much trouble finding it, just send me a private message (make sure to turn yours on in your settings first).
