Not necessarily ready to go back to work… But I’m certainly ready to turn the money faucet back on.
Anybody need a haircut?

Do you do home visits? I’m in all day mate;) At the start of the lockdown I had the ‘Donald Sutherland as Oddball from Kelly’s Heroes’ look - now it it is a maze-like multi-dimensionable ball of hair - would like a short back and sides!

Will tip, provide quality music and booze (am not sure as to the quality of the booze) 😉

Weird you should mention that. I dreamt we were hanging out together a couple weeks ago, and you looked exactly like Oddball. Why we were partying in what looked like a bombed out brick factory I have no idea. 😉

Sounds fun! 😄

King Kong vs. Godzilla (Japanese Version) - English Subs from Criterion Collection (Released)
Time

Quality is MUCH better. Criterion was forced to use an ugly transfer from 2014.
SpaceHunterM put together an MKV of the 4k transfer with every available audio mix, an isolated score & subs based on the German translations.
PM sent!

^ That’s what made mom saying it so strange…
I get plenty of exercise, I’m in good shape, I eat well. I don’t take in much sugar at all. No sodas. No family history with it.
The shock of thirst was more because I take such good care of myself that this sensation hasn’t been felt in years (if yer thirsty, yer dehydrated). But, now nervous! 😄

What are you reading?
Time

I’m about a 3rd of the way into Stephen Kings’ Dark Tower- Book 2: Gathering of the Three.
It had been over a year since I finished book one, which was much smaller. More a novella. I liked it very much, but obviously not enough to dive right into the next one.
This one though… Amazing! Fantastic! Wonderful! Can’t put it down!

^ Hey, I was talking on the phone with my mom this morning & happened, for some reason, to mention waking up thirsty, & she said the SAME THING YOU DID!
I laughed & when she asked what was funny, I just told her “A kind soul just passed off this same info.” 😄
Kinda has me thinking though… Maybe I should cut back on my water intake just so see how my thirst is really doing? Sounds strange, but.

Star Wars (1977) - a general Random Thoughts thread
Time

J. Yuenger, (music producer, world traveler & White Zombie guitarist) posted his “quarantine movie playlist” on instagram, which includes… Star Wars '77 (despecialized)!
The guy who used to sing in his band (Rob Zombie) has also mentioned Despecilized in interviews. They used some samples of Greedo on a couple songs.
These connections make me happy.

I don’t drink constantly because I’m thirsty, but because staying very hydrated helps fight my extreme migraines.
I think the big thirsty came because I didn’t drink as much water yesterday as usual, & but a bit more alcohol than my typical Saturday night.
But, thanks for the heads up. I will keep that in mind.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Plinkett (Mike) went to film school & knows what he’s talking about. Yeah, his reviews are entertaining, but they’re also full of solid points &, yeah, a little nitpicking, which he always points out.
NosalgiaCritic & CinemaSins on the other hand… garbage.
I agree with Broom Kid. Film making itself is an attempt to trick you. Sometimes it works, some times it don’t.

ANH caps are up. https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=5424

This comparison just shows how good the new ANH transfer is.

It shows how much better this transfer is.
It’s still not as good as it should be.

“You can’t always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need”

Good tune, man! But, this set isn’t at all what I need.

Better than an on-the-cheap color-mangled DVD master from the early 2000’s ain’t good enough for you?

There’s no pleasing some people.

😄
