The Inglorious Bastards reference is obvious, I recognized it immediately.
But, it was done so poorly in comparison, that I don’t think I’d ever mention it.
I like R1 & I dig all of Gareth Edwards films so far, but, c’mon. Tarantino this ain’t.

Can anybody come up with some alternate titles for Terminator 2: Judgement Day?
I’m working on edits of both & would really love to give T2:JD a decent title that fits the film.

I’m quite impressed with the current version, but at times it seems a bit… washed out?

Yes, Star Wars has shoe-horned & ham-fisted every sci-fi trope into some story, somewhere, sometime.
So have many other desperate franchises. Not really something worthy of praise.

Just realized that this is the first Star Wars thing since ESB to be added in whole to my personal canon.
That’s… kinda neat.

That’s how I wish they would have handled it in the film. When I was in the theater the first time, I thought that might be how they were about to handle it. I was sorry they showed her face and had her speak. Totally unnecessary.

So far i feel mostly MEH on the new 4K versions. Like the 2004 Lowry master they went too far - this time in the opposite direction - with the new color grading. For example, Lukes stromtrooper armor looks greenish/yellow to me. Most of the other 4K screencaps i saw in several threads also suffer from this yellow-ish tint along with washed-out almost monochromatic colors. Very strange.
