But Warb isn’t getting death wishes and private threads where people talk about how much they violently hate him.

Life is too short to worry about what people could be saying. I think you’re blowing this out of proportion.

I’m not guessing at what’s being said. I can read it.
But I’ve said more about all of this that I want to, so I won’t say any more.
I hope Frink, Possessed and Collipso come back.

You are NOT Bud-Light. You are a well crafted brew. And while it can be depressing seeing those lame blue cans fly off the shelves while you sit and wait, remember that those cans are going home with terribly boring people with horrible taste.

I love this analogy. 😃

I’m glad somebody got some positivity from my message! 😃

I sometimes wonder why I say nice things.

The Criterion Collection Thread
Time

Sold my dvd collection some years ago. Just starting to rebuild with bluray.
So far I’ve only picked up Godzilla (1954) & Night of the Living Dead (1968).
Both are absolutely fantastic releases, aside from some terrible packaging decisions.

Whatever happened to <whatshisface>?
Time

Oof. Just seeing this thread.
Sorry if I caused any worries, but it does feel nice to know I was thought of while I was away.
Life just got super-duper busy. I’ve been working 10hr shifts 6 days a week while also also designing new branding for the barbershop (logos, t-shirt designs, advertising, gift cards ect). We just hired a third barber, so now I have much more free time.
Again, sorry to cause any concern. My life is the best it’s ever been!

I do wish Mark’s and Bingo had returned in the meantime. Where they at??

Lucasfilm gives Cease and Desist to stop production of fan remaster of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

It’s definitely a long shot, but perhaps this lends credence to those rumors about an official KOTOR remake that were tossed around a year or two ago.

Could be. That seems to be the reason for Nintendo putting the kabosh to a fan remake of Metroid 2.
(Although that was released anyway and it’s great!)

I’ve lost all interest in other people.

[my reply here kinda turned out rambley but… My intentions are good!]
That’s sad to hear, but I know where you’re coming from.
People Ain’t No Good.
But, I hope (and believe) you’ll find people you can mix with. I suggest keeping in mind that you are not one of the many, but one of the few. That makes you a turn-off to the boring majority, but a goldmine to like-minded people (like me!).
You are NOT Bud-Light. You are a well crafted brew. And while it can be depressing seeing those lame blue cans fly off the shelves while you sit and wait, remember that those cans are going home with terribly boring people with horrible taste. When you do finally make that connection, you’ll know it’s a real one because you are a real one. And the right people will appreciate that.
Hang in there. Keep punchin’. Stiff upper lip. All that.

Is Romero’s Dawn of the Dead completely out of print? I was thinking about selling my DVD for a blu-ray, but not only does it seem like there’s no blu-ray that matches the DVD, it doesn’t even seem like the blu-ray’s available?

I recently found a Bluray copy that has all of the releases from the DVD boxset.
This is a European set and very much outta print. I was VERY lucky to find a brand-new copy at a dirt-low price. I chalk it up to my life as a Romero devotee.

What region?

Venom (2018) - …What a cool and new idea

wat. 1988 is hardly recent.
I guess I know what you mean though.

Yeah I mean in terms of superhero movies.

Yeah, I was just being… I dunno… Kinda dickish I guess. 😉
Your review sounds like what I was afraid (and quite certain) that this movie would be. What a waste!

Yeah I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

By the way, did we ever get your take on Solo?

I passed on it. Life got very busy (good busy!) and when I got some time, I found that I really have no interest in it. The only reason I’d watch it is so I could report so here, and since I haven’t been around here in awhile…
Star Wars is kind of bittersweet to me since my best buddy passed away. I love the OT, but I guess I don’t need any more than that.

JEDIT- the end of this post went like 3 different directions at the same time. sorry!
