Could someone send me a myspleen invite, please?
Could someone send me a myspleen invite, please?
I gotta tell ya A-Man, I've had next to no interest in this project. Almost anything to do with the prequels turns me off instantly.* However, I caught that there was a clip up and I'm bored so I thought I'd give it a look.
I'm impressed! I'll be checking this out for sure! Neat!
*exception made for Natalie Portman

You know this is a funny thing, when George Lucas did the SE's everyone complained about what he added(not all, but most) but it is OK for someone else to add things that are not supposed to be there, this is considered cool, go figure, I agree with you Jeyl on this one, not a very good addition, as always, my opinion only.
I'd wager that the folks interested in this project had no problem with George adding things for the SE. It's the repression of the original cuts that we complain about. Also, comparing a horrible CG texture covering the entire screen obscuring speaking actors to an added trooper crossing the screen at the end of a shot is like comparing apples and bullet wounds.

I happen to like the momentary close-up of the rebel at the very end of the shot, as we've already followed the full movement of Han's Taun-Taun heading into the entrance by this point anyway...and I reckon it does indeed add a subtle feeling of extra 'activity' happening outside the base.
I'm with this. That comparison shot is great! Hey 005, when can we expect a list of changes? ; )
How will this be available once it's done?

Why are tauntauns so obsessed with waffles? Is that how the Rebels tamed them and now they're addicted?
I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about, but when I was little I thought the tauntaun said "waffle time. waffle waffle time." Ok, so I didn't really think it was saying that, but it sounds like it and it made me laugh.
Just skimmed through the NTSC version. Sounds great! Listening to PAL always bothers me, so the effort is very much appreciated!
And again, great job Jambe! All three of these have been wonderful!

why not call it BUTT (Blu Unaltered Theatrical Trilogy)? :-)
Ha!
I'm glad someone got a kick put of Blugout. I've been saying "I'm blugging out!" as often as possible since posting that. ...which, unfortunately, has only been twice.

Star Wars trilogy (1977, 1980, 1983)
That's three movies
So? And isn't that Ric Ollie's job?
Here's a list off the top of my head. In no way definitive and in no particular order:
Star Wars trilogy (1977, 1980, 1983)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
Billy Liar (1963)
A Taste Of Honey (1961)
ESB +1
ROTJ -1
I Just can't get myself to plus a prequel...
TPM+AOTC+ROTS= -fun

Was this supposed to make me think of Aliens? Cause it certainly does.

Good answer ;)
This could be interesting. Maybe predictable... but maybe not!

I wouldn't call that High-res. And they're from RotJ. Cool paintings though!

A war involving the Republic/Jedi fighting against evil clones -
Me too - I'm guessing a lot of people thought this.
Yep. And possibly some "Are you the real Obi-Wan?" type of situation At some point. And, honestly, I was never very intrigued about it.
Quackula said:
I certainly didn't imagine "clones vs droids", with the clones being the good guys.
Yeah, I think GL thought he was being clever by turning what we all assumed would be the bad guys into the good guys... then into bad guys again. Didn't work very well as I just can't invest any emotional connection or even interest into disposable, replaceable people.

1 thing though, I probably should not call it the V3 BLU, after all this is not a version 3 of Blu-ray LOL, now what to call it?
What about GOUT V4.? Or BLUGOUT.
This looks great! Can't wait!

The fat frog/lizard alien on harmonica was an interesting addition, especially since he wasn't CGI, and blends in better. (Why the heck didn't they just build a better Snootles puppet while they were at it?) Unfortunately, he looks like he's sitting on a toilet!
Heh. I remember that guy. I really liked the design of the creature and the big harmonica. I remember sittin' in the theater when that popped up and thinking "Oh cool! That's really kinda- WHAAAAT!?? Oh no! OH NO!" I felt really embarrassed. Even though I had nothing to do with what was on screen, I felt totally embarrassed during that scene.
