I also didn't factor in Frank's embarrassment of being caught with Mike's face in his lap... Though that's sure to happen at some point.

I'm glad to see that someone else finally agrees with me that Mike and Frank are gay as all can be. Most straights don't sem to notice, but my gaydar practically sounds like an air horn when I watch that show. The back of that van has seen some pretty crazy cowboy stuff I'm sure. Mike is way out of Frank's league.

Haha! You're not alone on this. I've considered getting all the episodes and making a compilation of innuendo and flat out gay moments/comments. As for Mike being out of Franks league, all I can say is that Franky is lucky that Mikey likes bears.

Back on topic- SW is done? HOORAY! Thanks again for all the work you're doing Harmy. It's very much appreciated.

Also, Frank's skin tones are much more natural in the first pic.

Bull fucking shit. You're not taking into account the camera and how junk drunk Mikey just got, broke the ice.

Yeah I guess you're right. I also didn't factor in Frank's embarrassment of being caught with Mike's face in his lap... Though that's sure to happen at some point.

Mmm, Obi Wan too orange, too baked.

Flesh tones, Harmy. Flesh tones.

So you're saying the robe should be black?

You're like a gumball machine that dispenses non sequiturs instead of gumballs.

I've done some thinking and I willing to pop on that cast iron non sequitur dispenser at $35.00 just so we can break the ice here. That's cash. It's not in great shape but I love the sun baked stuff and it has some really nice lines. I know you're at $50.00 but there's just no meat left on the bone for me at that price, that's full blown retail. Let me look around some more and maybe we can bundle it with some smalls. It  might take me a while, this honey hole has tonnage and I'm already pretty junk drunk.

Pickers! Ha!

edit: didn't see that this went on for another page with mathematical equations. Most impressive.

Also, Frank's skin tones are much more natural in the first pic.

Star Wars turns 34 years old today!  What are YOU doing to celebrate?

Well, now that you've reminded me that  34 years ago I was 15 years old and sitting in the theater watching Star Wars, I'm going to pour myself a drink.

8:30 in the morning isn't too early is it?

;-)

I'll have a shot of rum, so you're not alone. Here's to ya Star Wars. A friend to the end. Now I'm off to work. Thar be houses to paint out there.

Who did what now?

Salsa seems to be pointing out that this isn't an official LFL release. I thought maybe it was you under a new name.

Sorry if I was mistaken!

Oh, now I get it.

Ric Oile (that's me) tip (that's a helpful pointer): If you are referencing something old, a quote is very helpful.  Especially if it's by some dude named Salsa.

Ric Olie suggests that I use more quotes. I'm taking his advice.

Also, new clips? Hooray!

Would he be 'Racey' if he called him "Fatty Boom-boom"?

No... but the movie would be SO much better.

On a side note, discounting the EU and the PT Chewie IS the only wookiee we meet. Perhaps he's a particuarly poorly groomed wookiee, and it's his hygene and style that she's insulting, not his race.

I dunno bout that. From his greaser-style slicked back hair in ANH to the soccer boy hairstyle in RotJ, Chewie has been pretty stylish and seems pretty clean and combed... Maybe it's the lack of clothes?

Couldn't the slightly changing cockpits be chalked up to advances in the tech? Life support systems, ect.? And looks like Wedge likes listening to some tunes while flying around, so he had better speakers installed behind his chair ; )

Oh and also in regards to the OP, Jabba and the blues makes sense in my mind. Jabba and a horrible CGI Las Vegas show-tunes band doesn't. That new song HAS. TO. GO.

It certainly doesn't offend me in any way, but, yeah, I guess I can see that.  I mean, it's not really like wearing glasses.  The fact that he's furry is inherent to his species, so it's really more akin to Leia yelling, "Someone get this darkie out of my way!" and I can guarantee that wouldn't fly! =P

Exactly. I said it grates on me, but I can (and do) easily dismiss it. It's just that when you think about it, Leia's remarks are more harsh than they seem on the surface. It's funny to us, because 1- it's not real and 2- to us, Chewie is a big hairy monster. But in the world presented to us in the films, Chewie isn't anymore strange than another race of human is to us and that makes her remarks toward him seem more rude than necessary.

Again, it is all quite silly of course, but based on Leia's comments one can only assume she's a bit prejudiced against the Wookies. Sure she hugs Chewie and obviously doesn't hate him, but it seems to me to be a bit like "Don't worry Chewie. I like you. You're one of the good ones. Not like those other smelly, hairy, freeloadin' beasts ."

And so what if she is? I've never really gave it too much thought, but hey, nobody's perfect. Maybe it's something she's having to deal with internally. She's always held some kinda grudge against them and now she's had one save her ass more than once, help fight for the cause she believes in and has found out that he's actually a really great guy. Kinda adds an interesting bit to her character if ya ask me.

Please note that I don't believe anyone involved in the films actually intended for any of this to be happening. I don't think there is any intentional racial comments, ideas or anything like that in the films. But I also think people should be able to come to a forum such as this and discuss any aspect of these films that interests them, weather these aspects are actually in the films or not.

Seems from your comments that you do have a problem with it. And if you truly aren't interested in participating, shut the fuck up and move along. This isn't rage or anything like that. Just sayin'.

Leia's "Walking carpet" line grates on me. So does "I'd just as soon kiss a Wookie!". What if Chewie was African? Would she say "Would somebody get this black guy outta my way?" and "I'd just as soon kiss an 'S'-word*!" ? It may all seem silly to some, but it bugs me.

Also,  to whoever said that Leia is a stuck up snob in SW, I disagree. She's a military leader who's mostly only posing as royalty to disguise her real motives. She's been captured and tortured and now she's being rescued by some guys who don't know what the hell they're doing. I'd be grumpy to.

* Boondocks, anybody?

To tell the truth, I never liked the look of "the cave" in ESB. I didn't like that it looked like some sort of hidden or long buried structure. It should have just been a cave, nothing more.

While I've never wanted the explanation, I've always liked that there was a structure there. It hinted at something ancient and mysterious. Implied a richer backstory than we'd ever get to know.

This.

"a domain of evil it is." That's all we really know about it. I've always figured that it's like an ancient Sith temple or something.
