I'm still amazed that Christopher wanted to be in the movies after he read the script.

Christopher Lee: "You mean to tell me, Dooku gives away the fact that the Sith infiltrated the senate and the Jedi never investigate? Seems legit! Sign me up!

Well, he was in The Howling 2: Your Sister's A Werewolf! willingly. He's one of my favorite actors, but he's not always been the most discerning.

Yes, I'm very happy to say that I managed to find color settings that bring the sabre super close to how it looks on the IB print without affecting the rest of the colors in a negative way - in fact the rest of the colors in that scene is now closer to the IB Print as well. I'll post a comparison video of the whole scene tomorrow.

I noticed the skin tones in the training robot shots looks better in 2.1. Less red. Although, I thought you had them looking great in 2.0!

Still hoping for a concept Vader.

Still can't find that storyboard (it used to be all over the web but poof).

I know the one you mean... Where he has his hands up by his face as if he's saying "Oggy-Boogy-Boo!"? That's the most frightening one I've ever seen!

It's not Hayden under there... it's Alec Baldwin:

I'd advice those who wanted to use it as x-mas presents to reconsider - it's still the plan to have it out before x-mas but I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to hold to it - I have a lot of schoolwork to do before the end of semester, so I'm finding it hard to find the time to work on this.

Thanks for the heads up! It's still gonna be gifted to several people... even if Christmas comes a little late!

once on set Alec Guinness paid Mark Hamill a 20-pound note just to go away.  Apparently Mark was driving Alec crazy asking a lot of questions about his career.

I read a story in Empire magazine when TPM came out about how Alec Guiness, after being approached by a young fan, boasting he'd seen star wars over 100 times, told to said fan to promise him one thing - never watch star wars again.

LexX said:

when signing photographs with Dave Prowse, who always puts Dave Prowse is Darth Vader on them, Guinness puts a question mark there and has written Alec Guinness is Alec Guinness.

I don't see any of this as Alec being an ass. I think all of these little stories are very funny! Was Mark upset about the incident? I'd think he, as a young eager actor, would found it as funny as anyone else would. Did the kid with no life really take offense to Alec's words and stop being a Star Wars fan? Or did he realize that it takes no effort to watch a film 100 times and is therefore nothing to boast about? And the autograph thing is just awesome. What is there to upset about there?

I've registered after a long time lurking to thank Harmy for this.

As much as I welcome the removal of crap CGI dinosaurs and the like from the SE, the biggest improvement for me is the colouring. I can cringe during pointless SE changes for their duration, but the bland over-stylized colour palette of the Special Edition ruined every second of it for me. So, thanks Harmy.

I love your avatar. That is all.

.....The planet is different.

That's for sure. In Alien/Aliens we were on LV426 in Prometheus we're one moon over on LV223. I feel like a broken record on this subject (I've been discussing the flick on another forum), but the events of Prometheus do take place on another moon and that is not the same ship the crew finds in Alien. It's a prequel, but it doesn't set up the events of Alien in the way a traditional prequel would. I don't really see much that would make this an "alternate universe" sort of thing at all.

Here is a preliminary comparison gallery:

http://uloz.to/xCAaaEE/compar-gallery-rar

It's taken from a compressed render of the video comparison. I'd like you to report any mistakes, typos or mislabels you may find, so that I can perfect it for the BD release. Thanks.

I've tried to download this a few times now, but I keep getting an error  during the download. I've managed to extract the pics up to where R2 is hiding in the rocks, but it breaks there. Anybody have any ideas what might be wrong?
