 This is how I've always read the scene as well. It's very 'western'. He's been showing his interest in her the entire film, no need for a "I love you too". She already knows his feelings.

 I've never heard 'hetero' used as an insult. But that's my point. "Homo" is only derogatory in certain context. It can be used as an insult, but so can most things.

 I haven't seen anything good come from Disney's purchase yet, so I'm not sold on this being a sure thing. And even if it happens, I doubt it will be handled with as much care as Harmy's Despecialized Editions. Are we even sure an unaltered print still exists in the LFL archives?

 It's not a gay slur. Nor was what he said an attack on homosexuals or even rude or offensive. I have no hope for that. Nor is it my goal. They know the health risks and it's their choice to smoke or not. My hate of cigarettes is very selfish. I just don't wanna smell like I've burned a pack when I quit years ago!

I hate cigarettes, but I have many friends who smoke 'em. Right in front of me even. I don't hate or even dis-like them for it, but I don't condone it, like it or support it.

Is that similar?
