It's so good to see the Star Wars I like displayed and advertised again. I'm still skeptical about the new films and tie-in shows, but even if they don't end up being something I'm into, at least they're bringing a resurgence of OT merch and style to the brand.

I'm not saying it isn't "officially" the sequel to OOT.
I haven't played much of it, but what I have played I didn't enjoy, so it isn't part of my canon... yet.
I'm about to take another stab at it. maybe this will change.

I'm in a miserable mood today.

Got sick at work and had to leave early. I got sick due to the vaccinations and other various shots they've given me this week. I'm still a new hire and on a 90 day trial period. I can be let go at any time and I'm not supposed to miss any days during that time. If I loose my job because of this I'm gonna....
I'm gonna be out of a job, that's what I'll do.

Every person I've spoke to today (which isn't many, really. I wasn't out of the house for long) seem to want to aggravate me for whatever reason. And, I'm sorry to say, they've all gotten what they were looking for.

I have many other current grievances, but I doubt typing them out will fix any of the issues or make me feel any better about 'em.

I'm generally easy going and most of the time I'm in a good humor.
I hate when I feel like this.
How do crabby people live day to day like this??

George says that Star Wars is currently six films, yet in my personal canon there are only three. (well, two, really).

The official timeline can link all the Zelda games together into some sort of weird continuity and I can continue to ignore that and make of them what I choose.

Um... I saw a ring and added lens flare... Besides the entire thing's rerendered in CGI even without a ring it wouldn't be the original so yeah...

 Oh, really? You mean that wasn't footage from a restoration of the original film? You're saying it was actually footage from a new arcade game? I'm shocked!

On second viewing, I did see the ring go by real fast. Still, it's not based around the look of the awful SE explosion like all the OT games that have come since it's release. I always thought the original explosion was lame and adding that stupid looking ring made it worse.
Anyway, I welcome a new look instead of recycling the SE version over again.

The game looks great! Anybody know when we can expect to see this thing around?

I think you may have missed my point.
I know MM is officially a sequel to OOT, but the entire series is also officially connected as prequels and sequels and sidequels. But, in my personal canon, most of the games are just different re-tellings of the same Legend. It's changed each time the same way other legends change as they are passed down through the ages.
So, even if I do end up enjoying MM (I've started three times and just can't get into it), that still doesn't mean I'll view it as a sequel to OOT.

I guess this isn't really a "Shameful confession" as I feel no shame about it, though other fans feel that I should....

Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link is one of my favorite games in the series.

It seems that at least one other OT member will agree that it's a great game, but I don't wanna jump to conclusions...

I'll go further into this possible shame by saying it's also the only Zelda title I take as being a sequel or any sort of continuation from the original. I actually view it as the second part of the first game.

I think it actually is at the end of the official timeline, but other than this one, I view all the Zelda titles to be re-tellings of the same Legend, not sequels or prequels to an on-going story.
(I've actually only played through the first bit of Majoras Mask, so I'm not sure if I'll consider it a true sequel to OOT or as it's own thing yet. Also I haven't played A Link Between Worlds at all, so that may be another instance of linking (ha!) two titles.)

^Also the Stormtroopers didn't "miss wildly". In the opening scene they gun down and capture most of the Rebs we see. And while in the Death Star chasing our heroes, well, as Leia says- "They let us go. It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape."
And Boba Fett wasn't working for the Empire in their search for the droids, he was busy working for Jabba lookin' for Han.
The Stormtroopers are only Boba clones if you accept the prequels and Boba was only on Tattooine at the time if you accept the SE.

I think he's a perfect match of Harrison and Carrie. Not in a "Oh wow! He looks identical!" kinda way, but in a "Yeah, could be their son." kinda way.
Also, and this may sounds strange to some, but he has a very Star Wars look to him.

Yesterday while in the chair at my barbers shop I spotted a GQ magazine on the rack with Harrison Ford on the cover. I didn't have my glasses on, but he looked like he was in his Star Wars shirt and vest. Without my glasses, my blurry vision could only make out that it said something about Star Wars on the cover. My barber and I talked a little Star Wars, but I didn't say anything about the magazine.When He was done shapin' my pompadour up, I put my glasses on and had a look at the magazine. Well, to my surprise it wasn't Harrison on the cover at all but Adam Driver and he isn't wearing Hans clothes at all. Anyway, I stood there looking at the cover pulling my glasses on and off. I swear it changed from Adam to Harrison!
Anyway, is this guy playing Han and Leia's son?

The tread title has had me confused. I'm guessing it should say:
'What did Yoda mean?'

This subject seems to pop up often in Star Wars discussions and I'll never know why.
In ROTJ Obi-Wan says "The other he (Yoda) spoke of is your twin sister."
So, that's that.

What it originally meant when the Empire script was written is up to debate, but as far as the trilogy goes, he was talking about Leia.

 That's because it was stiff characters sitting at a dinner table staring at each other while spouting flat dialogue.
The dinner scene in Star Wars works because the actors make it look natural and create a scene we can relate to. They pass dishes and drinks and look like they are actually having dinner while talking and getting information across. Just as many of us will do this evening.
