If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

Looks like I'm not the first to bitch about this...
What the hell is going on with all these old threads being bumped? I gotta search to find the threads I read, and that's annoying.

Doubly annoying that it's being done by people who say they spend most of their time "looking for jobs", but we can all tell they spend most of their time posting crap on OT.com about how shitty their jobless still-living-with-mom-n-dad lives are, then going all drama-queen on folks to try to be encouraging.

BAH!

Given the reactions to the rumors here, I wonder if there's any possible storyline that could be suggested that wouldn't get a bad reaction.

Something along the lines of Lonesome Dove (the book)  in a galaxy far far away would be my ideal ST.
As far as the plot rumors, I don't mind the cold war stuff, but the rest sounds very lame.

I have nowhere to go.

It's easy to say that and I have been trying but when you have no money and no one will hire you and you can't go to college because of where youl ive because you have no way to get there and no highspeed to take the third of the courses online that are required then it is is easier said then done.

Of course it's easier said than done! If it wasn't, everyone would be perfectly happy with their lives.
But you gotta try, man!

I know I am just a whiny stupid bitch so I will stop complaining.

Sorry to have bugged everyone.  I am better off then a lot of people so I will just stop letting these things bother me.

Sorry.

Oh, god. I knew you'd react this way.
It makes you very hard to talk to.

I do like that you think of me as "everyone" though.
You're on the right track with that.

I watch the original series on METV on Saturday nights. They air the "remastered" versions with the cgi effects though. It bugs me. I've never seen the originals, but every time I see an unaltered clip, it looks so much cooler than the boring new shots! So much more style going on!
What makes it even worse to me, is that METV is an "all classic" TV station. So shouldn't they air the shows as they were originally?
I'm preparing an e-mail about this.
I'm also preparing for disappointment.

Are they really that slow?  They don't move their joints so quickly, but at the same time, imagine how big those strides are.

They do have relatively big strides (to a human) but look carefully at the shot in question. Notice how the AT-AT isn't making enough headway per step to possibly cover that distance it needs to in those few seconds. Just the fault of that particular shot; they misjudged where it should be in relation to the speeder.

I'm guessing, Mac, that you are referring to the mock-up Ronster made. Because in the shot of the approaching AT-AT in the film, Luke's speeder isn't even visible, which makes it seem like there's even more distance between them.

Any word if this will be addressed, or is it staying as is?

I hate to harp on this subject, but this has bothered me since I was a small child in the 80's.

The pop-up menu and the initial menu will be one and the same, the only difference is when the menu background video is playing it will be locked in place and the viewer won't be able to toggle it off. When the actual movie is playing it can be toggled on, but it'll still be the same menu, with a "main menu" button that just takes you back to the menu background video (lots of blu rays do it this way, the Lord of the Rings extended editions for example. having the "main menu" button while the movie is playing is pretty pointless functionally, but some people like it).

I like this. But will scenes from the movie play in the background of the main menu? Because I have a pet peeve with menus that show any scenes from the film. I'd much rather it just show the title logo and keep it looking clean, simple and classic.
