I think classic rock is any album that came out in the 60s or 70s.
I wonder why '50s rock isn't considered classic rock.
Because "rock" and "Rock n' Roll" aren't the same thing.
And what is the difference? Please explain technically, as I won't take an explanation along the lines of "Chuck Berry is rock n' roll, Rolling Stones are rock".
Well, it may be semantics to you. Look into it for yourself if you're really interested. There's all kinds of rock music, but it's not all rock n' roll.
Here's some wiki links-
Rock n' Roll
Rock Music
I'd say it's mostly down to the beat. Rock n Roll is dance music, where as you can't dance to all rock music.
"Rock n' Roll" by Led Zeppelin is a good example of a rock band playing a rock n' roll song.

....I think if Paramount would let the new films stand on their own and make so if people want Star Trek they have to get with the times and watch current Star Trek it would help these films make a lot more money at the box office...
I'm confused. I thought the JJ films made plenty of cash and are generally considered good.
I don't like 'em as Trek films, but I'm under the impression that most do.
Time would still pass, for the microbe, as normal time. An hour would only be faster compared to those experiencing time as we are.
Obviously Danfun and Frink are moving at the same rate of time as the rest of us, or the posts they make would'nt show up to us as they would be working their way into the future at an accelerated rate. They would be responding to posts we haven't made yet.
But hours aren't made of days. So if someone says "I was doing whatever I was doing for hours." It's safe to assume that they were doing whatever it was for less than a day, or they'd have said so.
After reaching more than a foot, you don't report the measurements in inches alone, unless asked.
So if Danfun danced for hours after eating one, will you be dancing for days?
I might even consider going if he was gonna be there.
I'd have him sign my copy of Withnail & I.
Ah, ok. Right on then!
My cat, Dresden Lucifer Underfoot, isn't doing well. We've been partners for 11 years now and I'm afraid we will be parting soon. He has some health problems and they are all increasing and there's not much that can be done to help. I don't think I'll have to have him put down terribly soon, but all the signs are showing that we've spent our last full year together.
I love animals, so it's not like this is the first time a pet has passed on, but he is very special to me. All of my friends think of the two of us as a team, even though the guy never leaves my house.
Anyway, I dunno if that qualifies as bitching, but I needed to whine about it I guess.

I don't care if we're talking about welfare, or public school, or whatever. If you used to do hallucinogens and have sex with prostitutes, you don't get to talk about 'real values' just because you got married and go to church sometimes.
Yeah! Jesus never redeemed any sinners nor is he a forgive and forget kinda guy. And neither am I!
Once a bad person, always a bad person!
Fuck 'em!???
Yeah because it's not like two thirds of the New Testament was written by a man who killed Christians and then changed his ways later.
It's also not like the point of the death of Jesus was to pay the price for sins so people could change.
Oh and it is very clearly the point that no one can change and once some one commits one crime they will commit all crimes. That is why the penalty for all crimes no matter how minor is death.
I'm not sure if I failed to lay my sarcasm on thick enough, or if I'm to thick to get the tone/message behind your post, but I hope you don't think I was being serious.
I dunno. I'm just being jerky.
Seems a mean thing to say though.

I hate Andrew Garfield. Hated the Spider-man films with him and hated his performance in them. I wouldn't watch another one with him in.
I went into Sam Ramis Spider-Man very much against the casting of Tobey Mcguire, but he won me over very fast.
The rumors about Sam Rami returning to do Spider-Man 4 with Tobey had me excited. I didn't like Spider-Man 3, but I think they could continue on from there with no problem.
Guess that's not happening.

I think the idea is that it's a pop-up menu that would display over top of the film as it plays when you hit the menu button. So it's a placeholder of sorts, but if you hit the menu button during that scene, that's how it would appear.
Oh, I see. That's really cool!
That sounds awesome!
And, Dan, concerning the thread title, did you have fun or was it a bad trip?

The basic design is fine. I would make the translucent gray bar behind the track selection shorter (bring it in a few pixels, top and bottom), so that the thin empty line below it is taller, if that makes sense. Right now it reads as a 1-pixel line, and it looks uncomfortable.
I agree. It's a nice, clean layout though.
Is the pic of Han with the goofy face just a place holder for another image?
How about using the classic logo for each film?

Wrong thread.
I actually like it quite a bit.
I tried to make cream cheese chicken taquitos about a week ago. They didn't turn out how I wanted, but, with some adjustments, they'll be great next time.

That's really amazing! Great job!
