The prequels sucked, yes. But not because they ruined ESB’s reveal.
I think we can all agree on that.
Raises hand
Um, I disagree on that. The fact that some are even saying that an alternate prequel trilogy should keep that reveal is proof of its power.
What I meant was that if the prequels were actually entertaining, I wouldn’t mind them spoiling the Vader reveal.
I would! The PT should be the first three chapters to the story. If you’re reading a book and it spoils the entire rest story in chapter 3, the rest of the book is ruined.
Gremlins happens on Christmas eve/day.
Amazing!
I’ve never shown Aliens to anybody who didn’t laugh out loud when Ripley is hanging on by her arm with the giant alien hanging onto her foot while being sucked into space.
I think the movie is alright, but the last act is too remake-y and that scene is really silly.
Alien (theatrical) ****
Aliens (theatrical) ***
Alien3 (theatrical) ***
I don’t rank the others.
That’s really cool!
That Ghostbusters reboot scheduled for later this year must be stopped.
For the record, I’m not mad about the whole All-Female Ghostbusters idea. I don’t care who plays them, male, female, whatever. Ghostbusters should just stay as is. No reboots, sequels, spinoffs, whatever.
Are you not aware that there’s already been a terrible sequel and spin-offs including cartoons, comics and video games? It’s already happened.
And I don’t think it’s gonna be a reboot, is it?
I imagine my own Ghostbusters universe will always just be the original film though.
^Love every bit of that. Except that I can’t see the post you linked to because I’m not a member at fenedit.
I don’t care what Mike thought of TFA, but I’d love to see some more BTS clips and maybe hear some news about this thing becoming something we can all see!
Ignoring the other movies is like ignoring that your parents had sex. You can pretend it never happened, but it did.
How? it’s not like the PT spawned the OT…
So, it’s more like ignoring your children.
And I’ll gladly take the paternity test live on Maury to prove that I got nothin’ to do with those kids!
But, if it’ll make ya feel better:
Does that work?
I’m with topdawg193 all the way. I’ve always thought it would be interesting if Jabbas palace was on a tropical jungle kinda planet.
“See me jedi! See me jedi!”
The last Star Wars item I bought was the 2004 DVD set back in… 2004.
The only Star Wars item I own now is a small C-3PO figure that stays in my junk drawer.
Yes it is. Many of the movies on that list weren’t made to be taken seriously anyway.
And Robot Monster 3D is awesome!
LOVE that “Ben” comic Wook posted!
I’m still reeling from Lemmy’s passing, now Bowie is gone too. The past 3 years have claimed several of my heroes.
I still can’t help but think the film would be so much more interesting if the First Order were the resistance against the Republic and the Republic had Death Stars.
The bad guys would be preaching their message of hate from a position of weakness and the good guys would overstep their ethical and moral responsibility leading to more converts.
Hollywood could do with making that sort of film at the moment and it’s a combination we haven’t seen in a Star Wars trilogy so far.
I was hoping for and expecting this to be the case. It would mirror our current world very well.
I can cook where it counts. And I’m not talking about the kitchen.
But the kitchen is the most sociable room in the house.
Um…Gang Fight!!!
How am I gonna show that cowboy I’m alive?
The Star Wars Bad Lip Reading videos were disappointing. There are bits of goodness (like Lando & Nein Numb), but most of it isn’t up to the usual BLR standard.
The ‘Bushes of Love’ song at the end of the Star Wars one was funny, but the full version is a let down. There’s hardly any lip reading going on! That chorus is catchy though…
The Hateful 8
Like all of Tarantino’s films, it’s well made, well shot and all of the performances are excellent.
Kurt Russell is great! Lot’s of good character moments for everybody.
I laughed. I was held in suspension. Ect, ect.
But, I didn’t like it. I got nothing to hate on, I just didn’t really dig the film.
😉
This puts a whole new context on ROTJ! 😉
That was actually a really good video. Much more than the silly title suggests. Phill Tippet is amazing.
Thanks for posting!
