Worst case scenario :

It is a dark time for the
Resistance. Although the Starkiller base
has been destroyed,
First Order troops have driven the
Resistance forces from their hidden
base and pursued them across
the galaxy.

Without the protection of the fleet of the New Republic,
a group of freedom
fighters led by POE DAMERON
has established a new secret
base on the remote swamp world
of Dryth.

The evil knight KYLO REN,
obsessed with finding young
REY and LUKE SKYWALKER, has dispatched
his sinister order into
the far reaches of space…

“Worst case?” I find that to actually be pretty exciting.

Of course it’s exciting. TESB is a damn good movie.

If you’re still missing the point…

When using CGI it’s best practise not to zoom it to fill the frame, but with Snoke JJ just puts it right in the frame to pull us out of the suspension of disbelief.

Unless I missed something, we never see Snoke. We just see a holographic projection Kylo is speaking with.

But none of the holograms in the OT made the characters look like outdated CG cartoons…
I don’t see why he wasn’t portrayed by a real person.

The Force Awakens: Official Review Thread - ** SPOILERS **
Time

I won’t be happy if they go the redemption route at all. But so far, I’m fine with Kylo.
One of my favorite scenes was when he’s talking to the big dumb gollum-o-gram without his helmet on and the Hux guy comes in and explains how Kylo screwed up by letting the droid go. Without his scary helmet on, he looks like he’s been caught with his pants down, and you can see that Hux knows it. Good stuff.
I would like to see the fight with Finn cut to just two blows and Finn goes down, and then a shorter battle with Rey. But that’s easy enough.
I’ve only seen it once, but I’ll probably go again.
It’s weird, but it seems like this film becoming a part of my personal cannon really depends on how the ST plays out. I like TFA, but if the next one doesn’t follow up on some things in a satisfactory way, it will make TFA worthless. I also hope the next one has less callbacks to the OT and is more of it’s own thing. Though, really, the only big offender to me was the DSIII and how nonthreatening and pointless it was.
Going in, my theory was that the snow base we saw in the trailers would end up being the new superweapon, but that would only be revealed near the end of the film during a rebel attack on the Empire base. In the next film they would figure out a way to deal with it and then the the final film there would be a major attack on the new big Death Star. But, nope. We see what it is from the first establishing shot, a weakness involving a trench and shooting a small target is found and the thing is destroyed by the time the credits roll. Even Han and Leia seem unconcerned. “Ok, a bigger Death Star. How do we blow it up? We done this twice already. No big deal.” TFA had enough going on that it really didn’t need the DSIII battle at all.
At least it gave Poe more screen time. He’s great.

Do you think Disney will remake the prequels?

It’s difficult to ignore that the OT has a dark (or not so dark) shadow hanging over it.

Not for me… I take the two and a half films I like and completely ignore the rest of the franchise.

If it were to be revisited and completely remade to tie in with the OT (in terms of continuity) it’d be brilliant.

Funny you use that term. Adywan will be doing just that soon.

I’m headin’ over to a buddy’s house this afternoon to start a Star Wars marathon with about 6 friends. I’ll be bringin’ the Despecialized trilogy. Three of these folks haven’t seen the films SE free since 1997.
There will be plenty of beer and some snacks and no PT in sight.

OK, please do in all seriousness write a detailed post of their reaction?

Everyone really liked it.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

I’ve always thought that, through the force, Luke recognized the voice calling to him as his fathers. He looks and sounds startled and surprised. Then when Vader continues, Luke realizes who it is, causing his apparent sadness and feeling betrayed by Ben.
But I agree that it makes Yoda’s reveal in Jedi redundant. But Han and Leia confess love for each other in Empire, then in Jedi it’s like that didn’t happen. So maybe it’s another problem to fix in Jedi (the broken movie) instead of Empire (the best one)? I dunno.
It’s not really a big deal to me that Luke still wants confirmation from Ben and Yoda though. It could be Vader playin’ Head Games. And Luke can’t take it anymore.

THE WASHINGTON POST – George Lucas: To feel the true force of ‘Star Wars,’ he had to learn to let it go
Time

Han was never a “cold-blooded killer”. Greedo was gonna kill Han no matter what. He had just said so!

Han- Over my dead body.
Greedo- That’s the idea…

Han’s actions were perfectly justified. If I ever find myself in a it’s-him-or-me situation, you can bet your ass it’ll be him. And he won’t get to shoot first and miss wildly at point blank range.

The Unofficial Complete REVISITED SAGA Ideas and Random Discussion Thread
Time

Matt.F said:

For me, knowing that it has taken 7+ years to complete ESB Revisited, the idea of encouraging Adywan to work on the prequel trilogy revisited seems akin to handing down a life sentence.

Adywan has had many personal issues and setbacks during the making of ESB:R that won’t affect the rest of the Revisited saga. Also, the skills he’s acquired and the teams he’s put together during Empire will greatly help the creation of the other films.
I expect that Jedi will be a faster production. Could be wrong though.
As for the PT, I’m interested in what Ady can do, but I can’t imagine those films becoming something I like. I hate almost everything about them. Especially the character designs. I have some faith that a good story could be dropped in, but the character designs are all so stupid that you’d pretty much have to replace every character (especially background characters and the Jedi counsel guys) with new actors. Also, most of the locations look fake and even if they didn’t they are lame designs. Vehicles look stupid and don’t fit into the look of Star Wars. Same goes for the costumes and hair styles… I could list visual problems with the PT all day. And that’s not even getting into the performances, dialog, story, boring camera work and all the rest.
The PT really is a failure on every level.

If you need to B*tch about something... this is the place
Time

I was a manager at a KB Toys store for 5 years. I worked a double every Black Friday. We opened at 6am on that day and there would be a line from the front gate all the way out into the mall parking lot before I even showed up at 4:30am. We’d open the gate at 6am and it would be madness until we shut down at 10pm. Fighting, arguing, yelling, pushing, pulling, cursing, throwing…
I actually really miss it.
