Happy Valentine’s Day, you sons of guns.
Happy Valentine’s Day, you sons of guns.
[jedit: maybe I’m wrong…]
Might be better to make this the default Mandalorian spoiler thread.
Too many.
Yeah that’s the start menu. The 2002 date is weird though.
That is weird.
Cool to see that original art though!
I love that one too! Think the artist used to post here… or maybe it was somewhere else, but I remember him releasing the sketches for this as it was developing.
My only critique is that I feel like Vader’s head is stylized differently than everything else. More animated compared to the realism of the rest.
It’s a fantastic piece. Worthy of more recognition!
Thanks guys!
TL;DW It doesn’t necessarily contradict anything shown or stated in the movies.
Yep.
I’d actually hate to see that shot too heavily altered. I really love it.
Could totally do without the burp though.
…Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, I’d like to see the frog n’ mouse dropped altogether in favor of some other kind of more subtle motion/action to bring the shot to life.
So, I guess I would like to see the shot altered, but that backdrop is classic.
It’s my birthday.
Wish me a happy birthday, you sons of guns.
Looks great!
I just don’t see any of this perceived “pandering”.
The baby isn’t anymore pandering than the one in Lone Wolf & Cub.
It’s cute, sure. But babies are cute. So What?
I certainly don’t see this pulling any punches that Empire would’a thrown.
I don’t think that statement holds any water at all.
Guess I don’t feel that this was to overly badass or cutesy.
Also, totally rad BTS shots!
^ Wow. Those are cool. Almost a Scary Stories vibe.
Noble 7’s stuff is some of my favorite. he deserves more recognition.
Anybody else retconning the props in the StarWars bar that went on to be IG-88’s head to actually be repurposed assassin droid heads?
I now imagine that the bar owner was wrongly attacked & maybe lost a friend to them. He got his revenge, repurposed their parts & developed a hard grudge.
I guess it’s kid-friendly? But I don’t remember ever feeling like they threw something in just for kids. I hate that $#*! & I was very much worried about it.
The tone feels very much like Empire to me. It’s for every age without pandering to any age.
Those Noriyoshi Ohrai pieces are classics.
Lot’s of great stuff in this thread!
I agree with you both.
Just watched the Red Letter Media Re:View & even they are very positive about this.
Didn’t bother with the comments section, though…
I don’t pay attention to much StarWars noise outside of this site, but it seems that most here & those I’ve spoke to in life, have liked this show. That’s cool.
Anybody know of any haters?
This is the set I had. Got it for Christmas when I was about 12. Best gift I ever got.
As for best set, I’d say it’s gotta be the Executor VHS Set.
I LOVE those J.J. LendL posters! I’m actually gonna get prints of those.
Thanks for posting (& welcome back) VINCENT!

‘Coventry City launch a kit to celebrate 40 years of 2 Tone.
Absolute Genius.
With the serious message of Kick It Out. Exactly what 2 Tone stands for.’

The half-time music must be great at Coventry City… maybe better than the footy itself 😉

I missed this until now, but this is awesome!
I love ska. OG, 2tone, 3rd Wave, the whole thing.
Gettin’ my checker tattoo at the end of the month!
I absolutely loved this show. I should give it another watch. Been awhile.
Good points…
Well, here’s hoping.
Why would they?
Because most Star Wars fans are obsessive & would love to add it to their collections.
Therefore Big D would make lotsa money & get an even bigger return on their investments.
The idea about it damaging their streaming revenue is silly, & D+ knows this.
Sure, I can stream it just about anywhere, but I’d love a 4k presentation with no compression artifacts.
I like APOM so far. The writing is compelling but the story is getting started. From the POV of just being glad to have something to read, I’m happy.
I’m always interested to hear first takes on this one.
Still with it?
