Somebody shot me and took my clothes!
Somebody shot me and took my clothes!
Post Abandoned.
Ha! Just heard that on the radio on my way home.
^ That’s a great photo on that album cover.
I’m gonna check that out.
It took me a while to admit that as well but that’s more to due with the growing problems I had with ROTJ while my opinion of TFA stayed relatively the same. I think a good fanedit of ROTJ would be on par with the theatrical version of TFA though.
No fanedit can fix the Ewoks and their defeat of the Emporer’s* best troops.**
I think Ady will fix that.
I love that gif, Fanfiltration! Young Frankenstein is my favorite of his films.
I foresee a Willy Wonka, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein triple feature this weekend.
Papa No Idea? Sounds about right, actually.
Yeah, I guess it was the people with them doing dumb things, not the sabers…
But I didn’t remember the absorbing thing, so I’ll stand by my original statement. Even if that is the only dumb thing they do, it’s plenty.
MACS DON’T LOOK BACK. ONLY FORWARD.
The lightsaber only acts like a baseball bat in one scene in ROTJ. And, yes, it’s stupid. There’s no way the PT has better sabers though. I’d rather the lightsaber do something dumb once in a good movie than be awesome in a dumb movie. And the lightsabers do plenty of dumb things in the PT.
Based on the squadrons of guys in Stormtrooper gear I’ve seen marching around at cons, movie screenings, ect., I’m sure they can see fairly clearly. Luke couldn’t see because the uniform didn’t fit him. "aren’t you a little short for a Stormtrooper?"
Also, for the umpteenth time, they can aim n’ shoot just fine in the OT. “They let us go! It’s the only explanation for the ease of our escape.” If they killed the kids on the Death Star, they wouldn’t be able to track 'em back to Yavin.
Ha! 😃
That’s right Susan, it’s another way to fuel his addiction.
fixed. 😉
Apparently thousands of people don’t.
I totally hear that to the tune of Ric Olie’s “The entire planet is one big city.”
😉
(from late JEDIT^)
The Mix Up is probably my favorite thing from them. Hello Nasty is hard to beat though. And the songs Shake Your Rump and Shadrach from the album Paul’s Boutique can’t be beat.
NO WAY! I’ve been going through their entire discography today!
Currently on To The 5 Boroughs.

I hate the term “African-American”. I have several black friends and they all hate it more than I do. My niece is African-American though. So the term has it’s place, of course. But calling Americans “African” because they have dark skin is stupid.
Wow, I didn’t realize how common Aspergers is here. Feels a little weird.
Care to explain why? Sounds a little insulting.
If you mean that the plot could have only happened in the time the film was made, why is that a problem when the film happens in the era it was made?
If you mean that this plot wouldn’t get made because of modern sensibilities, I still don’t see how that’s a negative against the movie.
Well, ^that put’s the debate to rest. George clearly had Luke and Leia as sibling Skywalkers from the beginning.
Alec’s floating head in the detention hallway has me cracking up!
A part of Star Wars that does feel dated is how there’s no real cross-galaxy instant communication. While Star Wars does have a lot of advanced technology, it takes a lot of time for information to get around. It almost feels like the world a couple of centuries ago: We did have newspapers and such, but there was no Internet, or even television. Everybody lived in a village.
Yeah, It’s almost as if Star Wars all happened in the past and in a galaxy that doesn’t match up with our own.
A Long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… If you will.
Oh.
I guess I just don’t mind there being a limited number of intelligent aliens. I’d much rather see familiar designs with a few new ones here n’ there than the other way around.
My problem with the PT aliens is that each one clearly had one mask mold. I appreciate that they painted em all a bit different, but it was clearly the same mask. They all had the same facial expressions and the same proportions. Or maybe I’m racist.
Why do you always mention “dated” as a negative? Shouldn’t a film look and feel like the era it was made/set in? Makes you seem very young. Not meaning this as an insult, just wondering.
Halloween III is the only film in the franchise I like other than the original. It’s an absurd October must-watch for me.
