God, the PT costumes were SO bad… Doesn’t look like Star Wars at all.
Escape From LA’s soundtrack has The One, the last track White Zombie ever released. And while it’s got too much techno overriding the live band, it still kicks ass. So, there’s something in the films favor…
But I do imagine that we will see R2-D2 having the stolen plans uploaded to his memory.
In fact this is what Leia does in the opening scene of ANH. Leia has the plan when the movie begins, she uploads them into R2 after having recording her message to Ben.
Jokes aside, I do think we’ll see the plans handed off to Leia at the end. We won’t see her, but the audience will know who it is.
OR … do you think it’s possible they actually use the orignal Leia footage (since this is all Lucasfilm anyway) digitally enhanced to high quality, to be able to actually use it in the film? (if not- I think they should!) Wouldn’t that be amazing, using original Star Wars footage in this new movie?!
You mean rotoscope Carrie in ANH and put the footage in RO? No way. It would pull me right out of the film to see recycled footage.
Really? Oh not for me - to me it would pull me more into this movie, seeing Leia as we all know her, actually in this movie. While I do hope they do this, I doubt it will actually happen.
I’m too familiar with the films to not know exactly where the got the shot of Leia. It would be like the Stardestroyers Adywan added to ANH. It’s well done and very cool, but I immediately knew what shots from ESB they were sourced from and that does take me out of the experience.

well it’s official, a kind of ANH/ESB hybrid. And yeah, the stuff sideshow had at SDCC was definately the RO Vader.
While I’d prefer a really accurate recreation of the ANH suit, I think this is probably he next best thing, and it looks pretty great. WAAAAAAAAY better than ROTS! Thank goodness!

Just watched Red Letter Medias Re-View of Blair Witch Project. it was good, but something they go over near the end infuriates me.

This is bullshit. Movies are movies. They aren’t real. I haven’t felt scared while watching a movie since I was around 9*. So to say a horror film fails because you weren’t scared is stupid. A better question, if you wanna go that route, is: "Is this situation scary?"
A side note- I was satisfied with their response to their own dumb question.
*= Ju-On. That movie scared me while I was watching at age 24 and even more so after it was over. There’s an exception to every rule.

Somebody has already posted pics of the full suit. I think maybe at the time it wasn’t clear if that’s what it was, but I’d say since it lines up with this card, it’s the RO Vader. It seems to be a SW/ESB mash-up.
He’s lookin’ good! For the record, he looks different in all three OT films. This seems to be a combination of those three. This new one looks much better than the ROTS suit.

You’re wrong. It was still commonly referred to in TV shows, music, movies and all forms of popular entertainment. It was near the top of all “best films” lists and was well respected.
The PT may have been appealing to babies, but adults largely found it stupid. Yet, the OT remained well loved. It’s endured despite the stupid PT and silly SE, not because of them. They are classic, well made films and those types will never go out of style with general audiences.
Surely having new fans benifits you guys somehow.

It had been cool since 1977. It was made laughable in 1999, but even the awful PT didn’t keep the general public from remembering and loving the OT.

You’re missing the point that it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t have to line up with our world. Star Wars all takes place in the past of a far away galaxy. It isn’t supposed to be our future.
The same goes for why they call it a “tape” when it doesn’t look like the tapes in out world. It isn’t our world.
You also must have missed the part where most people here prefer the original version of the films and hate seeing these kinds of pointless changes.
