I don’t mind different Jedi having different swordplay styles. I do mind the rigid Form I, Form II, etc. brouhaha, though, and the Jedi-centric portrayal of it all.

If it makes you feel better a decent percentage of Force sensitives make minor tweaks to their specialized form and even use multiple forms but the beings who do this are adept-master Force Wielders.

And if that doesn’t work for ya, just remember that this isn’t real and it can work however you want it to! Fun!

JEDIT: That could be construed as a jab, but it’s not.

In 30 years why do you think Emporer...

The Empire is made up exclusively of white male humans. The Rebellion is made up of multi-racial human males and females and all kinds of aliens. You can cite any EU book or whatever to show that this isn’t true, but in the films it’s a device clearly used for symbolism. There’s nothing in the films to point to the Emperor being anything other than a white human male.
…Except for when he’s a female human with monkey eyes. But that’s another story.

Jump scares suck. They’re the most unimaginative and cheap scares ever. They can hardly even be called scares, they’re just surprises.

But they have their place. You’re right, it’s a surprise, not a scare, but when used right, they can get your heart pumpin’ and that can get your fear/excitement levels rising. It’s over used and misused, for sure, but I love a well made seat jumper.

I just had a thought.

Is it just me, or does Luke contribute very little to the battle of Endor after he gets captured? Like, I can’t imagine the battle going too differently regardless of what happened between him, Vader, and the Emperor.

He’s important to the set up for the fight (I’d hardly see shuttle Tydirium getting through without him), yes, but the Death star II would have been destroyed after he got captured no matter what, it seems.

So what? Why should Luke have to be involved in everything?

So would you like it better if they kept the force lightning unique to the emporer but all siths had a power unique to them? Like maybe Darth Maul could shoot fire outta his hands. Dooku could conjure water from the air and dirt and splash it in peoples faces. Or should all Siths be powerless and only the Emporer should have it cause he’s so evil.

That’s Avatar, not Star Wars.
(Not the dumb movie about the blue girl. The dumb cartoon about the bald boy.)

Sure, Alice didn’t invent these things even if he’s the one who first popularized it.
But, I’m sure Manson wouldn’t be what he is without Cooper, he’s very vocal about the influence.
I just don’t think there’s enough similarities in the music to make a hard line comparison. Just because one likes Cooper doesn’t at all mean they’d like Manson and vice versa.

That’s a comparison I’ve never understood. They both do the make-up theatrical goth thing, but their sound and feel are totally different.
(I prefer Cooper, but Mansons got a few good tunes)

I guess it’s a better comparison than all the crap that gets suggested to me via the Smiths though…
