which weekend? ;)

I spent the last 2 weekends in a different country than my computer :-) Since I'll be away this weekend too, and I'm at home today and tomorrow, and also the next Monday and Tuesday, I have changed the strategy.

Disc 4 is being encoded right now as I write this so I will check it when it's done and it will be on myspleen in a few hours, the last disc will be up worst case next Monday.

So - any cover artists wanting to create covers as bonus materials for the last disc ? :-)

Has the idea of splicing in DVD footage been dropped?

From my side - yes. There were 3 major problems :

1. Different speed. Even when both my sources were PAL, the official DVD runs faster. I guess it's because of a different NTSC > PAL conversion.

2. Complicated editing. I was playing with it during Season 1, but the editing on the official DVD was way too chaotic, the video needed too many "jumps"

3. The quality. After watching a couple of minutes I dropped the idea completely, the changes in quality were too annoying for me

Well I don't agree.

XBMC forces you to do NOTHING. Not in the "file mode". In the "library mode" the organization is quite logical, I had never problems with it.

My HTPC is not much bigger than WDTV - WDTV dimensions are

Height: 1.57 in (40 mm)
Depth: 3.94 in. (100mm)
Width: 4.94 in (125 mm)
Weight: 0.73 lb (0.33 kg)

and Asrock ION 3D dimensions are

195mm(W)x70mm(H)x186m(L)

Buy (or build) a HTPC.

I bought a Asrock ION 3D 152B for a damned good price (now it costs more).

It has a BluRay drive, it has good cooling, it's quite and it "eats" less than 40 Watts. And it has a remote control :-)

I installed Windows 7 and set it up so that it boots directly into XBMC, which is a player which plays almost everything (except BluRay discs). If I want to watch a BD, I use PowerDVD. I am absolutely satisfied

When you are ready with season 2 is there a possibility to get droids?

how many dvds we will get for season 2?

btw.

thx for your massive work on ewoks

1) I am waiting if retardeded shares his version in the near future, because his sources don't have blended fields. If not, I wil use VideoCollector's sources and create also PAL DVDs for Droids

2) The same as Season 1 - 5 DVDs

3) You're welcome :-)

As for usenet, thats sadly not an option since my ISP doesnt have newsgroup abilities. Double BLAH.

Neither does mine. But Astraweb are charging only 50 bucks for a full terabyte of usenet downloads. If you can scrounge the money together, that'd be very handy for moments like these and could potentially last you for years if used selectively.

Sorry for the stupid question but does astraweb support non-USA customers ?
