I keep getting a "not a bencoded file" error at MySpleen.

Sorry guys, I tried.

I had this error when I created the torrent file using the newest uTorrent (older versions created a working torrent file). Then I created the torrent file using torrentMaker and that one could be uploaded without a problem.

That original trilogy change you wouldn't mind
Time

Things which I wouldn't mind to be changed :

generally :

- fixing bad composites, matte lines etc.

- remastering the audio

Star Wars :

- putting back the Jabba scene

- digital dewbacks and other animals - both were originally planned to be in the movie

Empire Strikes Back :

- putting back the wampa footage (actually I would love if he restored the complete sequence, not just a few scenes)

Return of the Jedi :

- the thing in the sand (I don't remember its name right now) looks now less like a giant butthole with teeth and more like an alien, I like that

- actually I would love if the whole sandbarge sequence would be re-shot or at least re-composited so that it looks like a fight sequence and not a bizarre ballet number

I'm not taking a breather at all, I'm studying for my final exams that take place on the 5th September and I definitely don't plan to start any work until after that :-)

And I don't really need to find bonus content as much as create it :-)

Here's the plan for the BD:

Animated Menu (similar to the sample I posted some time ago)

Same video for the main feature as the MKV

All the same soundtracks and subtitles as the MKV but the original three English mixes in lossless and maybe the 93 mix as well and maybe some of the other AC3s in higher bitrate.

A short making of video (HD)

A trailer (HD)

The v1.0 comparison gallery (the one on picasaweb)

New comparison gallery (comparing SE, GOUT, v1.0 and v2.0)

A video comparison of the despecialized shots (1080p) (comparing SE, GOUT, v1.0 and v2.0 - the above gallery will comprise of screenshots from this video)

At least one easter egg (I have something really fun in mind, though I could use help of someone with musical talent)

I'm open to other suggestions of course but I can't promise anything.

As you can see, it will take some time to finish the BD but it should be worth the wait :-)

A few more things would make this BD PERFECT :

- a cleaned-up version of the deleted scenes - I know a couple of people are working on them (althor ?), maybe they could help with it ?

- A making-of featurette (about the movie, not about this release :-))

Thanks Troy :-) It just bothered me every time I watched it, so I overcame my laziness and did it (the lightsabre work is terribly tedious and difficult).

So anyway, before I start the encoding, can anyone tell me with certainty that if I encode each reel separately, I will then be able to join them (by whatever means) without recoding the video and keep the Blu-Ray compatibility and not lose any frames?

I have merged only mkv files, using mkvmerge and never had any problems with it, even the synchronization was always correct

Star Trek: The Original Series 15 Disc Soundtrack Collection Released by La La Land Records!

Wait a minute i thought they re-recorded the music for star trek remastered because the original music was in bad shape.  Now its in good enough shape for cds?

Now the music gets restored but not used in the restoration of the show, lol.

The source elements were said to be too degraded so they tracked down the actual written scores and re-recorded them.

Not sure if the original musical tracks were in monaural that also may have been a reason for re-recording some of the music.

They re-recorded only the theme and the reason for it was that they wanted to make an 8 channel mix, but they had access only to the original "final" mono mix if I remember correctly
