Ok guys, i've been quiet lately due to the fact that my internet sucks. had little or no connection for days now and i'm having to use a pre-pay mobile internet dongle, which give you no internet time at all. I'm down to my last 30p credit on it and i refuse to pay for any more, especially when i'm already paying for net use with my ISP. Doesn't look like the problem is going to get fixed any time soon either(crappy TalkTalk). when i do get a landline connection it has been 32kbit/s, which is slower than bloody dial up.

This is why he hasn't been able to respond to anything recently. Work continues offline though. He said on Facebook the last week that he had been up for 48 hours working on a single shot!

That 1080p master was again used for the Blu-ray, uncompressed, but still bearing a lot of the problems the DVD apparently had at its source.

   I knew they used the negative film cells fort the SE, but never Knew they where scanned at 1080p.

Download VLC Media Player.  It's a free app and can be found with a simple Google search.  VLC plays pretty much any video file you can throw at it!  :)

  OK I got the VLC ,but any thing i play it is just a black screen?

Here is this years Revisited clip for Christmas. This scene is mostly complete apart from the overhead gantry matte shots( just after Luke gets his hand cut off), where i will be replacing the background matte and one close-up shot of Vader. This scene uses the Blu-rays as a source.

Now, because facebook have now decided to start blocking and deleting videos and i received warnings of a ban for uploading this clip and another last night, you will now have to download the video to view on your PC or TV. Same thing is happening with Youtube so this is the only option (Vimeo give me a lot of problems uploading). The video is approx 150mb and is a 1080p mkv file.

I've had a lot of questions about why i felt the need to film new shots of the Hoth troopers fleeing the At-At's for the end of the Hoth battle, especially when the blu-ray is now out. Well i think this comparison explains everything:

The original shot is taken from a scanned cell of the original theatrical 35mm. What the hell have they done to the picture for the blu-ray? Its like one big smudged mess. There was no way i could use this shot.

   Nice pics of the shield. The original shot is better of the troopers,  remember the Blu-ray still has crushed blacks. Just saying nice pics  of the Hoth shield generator.

All the sample images are taken from the latest version using the blu-ray as a source, so the fighters are grey. I decided to stick to my original plan and have the TIEs a uniform grey colour, the TIE bombers as blue and in ROTJ:R the TIE interceptors blue. 

   So ties are grey,the bombers and the interceptors blue. Very cool.

   Those pic's are cool the colors are correct, Light sabers are in the right place, I have never notice the on neck Vader,you can see stars.With the windows,you can see more scenery and reflections. ;) :) :) :) :) :)

ONE ? How do you do a color correction for the movies? you can tell me when you get a chance to.for the Computer and a TV.thank you. 

So you are going to mainly be using the Blu-rays for the revisit, cool.You said the color correction is done.the release this in may of next year.

You can see Episodes IV-VI still have a little green/blue tin to it, but now Episodes I-III have green/blue tin to it,even though Episode III already had a tin to it and Episode I had a red tin and episode II had a blue tin. So now the star wars movies have the green/blue tin.

The Originals dose look like the 04 dvd but with better coloring,even sink tones in most shots,better light sabers and better stars to.

Actually i was just doing a quick test. Now all i did here was adjust the hue for Magenta.

I have also downloaded the HD version of the trailer and it does indeed look bad for the older docs as the reported problem does seem to exist in the two shots shown, while the rest of the trailer doesn't suffer with these problems. Well all apart from the shot of R2 and the wampa that definitely has some field problems

wow how long did that take you,the lightsaber is red yes.the pic's at the bottom looks bad

Hope they make the OT better for the 3d.But the bul-rays look good in color,but not the Lightsabers. So for the 3d hope they will fix the color even more and the lightsabers.

Yes it dose look a littel pink but I think the color is better than the dvd is most shots of the scenes.

The color dose look better.I wish they would have had the the Episode 4 a clip like 30 sec. longer so we can see if they fixed the lightsaber in that part.
