The difference between men and women... how true??

NICKNAMES
If Laura, Suzanne, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will Call each other Laura, Suzanne, Kate and Sarah.
If Mike, Charlie, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla, Sh*t-Head and Four-eyes.

EATING OUT
When the bill arrives, Mike, Charlie, Dave and John will each Throw in £20, even though it's only for £47.50. None of them will have anything smaller, and none will actually admit they want change back.
When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY
A man will pay £2 for a £1 item he needs.
A woman will pay £1 for a £2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale.

BATHROOMS
A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from M&S.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new
argument.

CATS
Women love cats.
Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

FUTURE
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A
Man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.

DRESSING UP
A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the bins, answer the phone, read a book, and get the post.
A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL
Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.
Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING
A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favourite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.
A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in his house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in Two people remembering the same thing.

Old Threads?
Time
^ sadly I think they may have.

There were some great discussion and info threads - gone forever

Remember the days when DanielB didn't annoy everyone? It was a long, long time ago...

and that everyone was really excited on here because there was these 'TR47' and 'anamorphic' (later to become known as the Dr Gonzo version) sets coming soon?

"The Graphite Collection" - DVD Covers

Actually, I've sort of been thinking about doing a set based around McQuarrie's concept art. I sort of wanted to model it around the covers for the current paperback series of Frank Herber's DUNE novels, i.e. just a small piece of artwork surrounded by lines and rectangles.

You can't see it in these images, but each of these (excepting CLONE WARS) has a small window on the back with a piece of McQuarrie art on it that relates to each film.

Speaking of which, anybody have a large scan of that classic poster concept? The one with the concept vader looming over the heroes? It's the one that appears on the official DVD Special Features disc.

Also, still needing a textless E-III poster...

Nice one, have you seen Spidernap's cool MagnoliaFan covers? (can be found in at 'misc', then 'fanedits' section at http://home.pages.at/grisan/ ). Very simple, almost minimalist yet very eyecatching covers (for me anyway, lol)

Rikter also did some great work on 4-disc boxset covers - inspired by the Japanese laserdisc release covers.

Tis the problem with most sci-fi covers - they eat up the black ink on the printer

Jay or Zion - Would it be worth pinning this at the top of this forum as to not lose it over time?

Mod Edit: Unfortunately many of the websites linked to in this thread no longer around. However, thanks to the Internet Archive’s WayBack Machine… the links have been edited to now work correctly and function once again.

The Star Wars Saga DVD Box Set
Time
http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?r=0&s=8&c=28 - they also have ESB and ROTJ changes through the years too.

The EditDroid versions have a few of the changes over time.

IIRC there differences between the Faces and Definitive Edition laserdiscs (and even early and latter pressings of the DE lds) - probably get more info on them from the people in the OT Preservation thread.

It can get a bit complex on exactly what has changed over time - esp as the original cinema reels had differences on them between 70mm and 35mm reels, let alone the sound differences - I think...
