Really enjoyed the last two episodes of the season - I hope it gets renewed for next year

Some interesting revelations about the evolving relationships between the characters - and at the very end was most surprising with a twist

great episode - the future war stuff was done quite well for a tv budget

Top player -almost genius-like at chess before a time when computers and over-analysis rule all.

The man may have been paranoid, complicated, awkward and have some outlandish views - yet if it was true that his mother was a spy, and that the various US security agencies did indeed keep close tabs on Fischer himself it was no wonder that he railed against the US.

Sad that he's dead in that he brought a lot to the game - love playing his fischerandom chess - a welcome fun game when 'proper' matches get a bit heavy

for some strange reason I'm addicted to it - much as I was playing, and completing, GoldenEye on the n64 just after Xmas (a top present from the mother-in-law - one that brought back the memories of youth

I've only seen the pilot, but am looking forward to the series - whenever it finally gets screened on ITV2 here in the UK...

have been told the Sarah Corvus character is pretty good to watch and one of the better things in the series - hope it's true

I think the final cylon may well be Dualla - she is technically an 'Adama' by marriage to Lee (Leoban told Roslin the cylon is Adama), Dualla's first name means resurrection (Anastasia), and if you look back to certain episides early on you can see by here reactions to certain events that she may be hiding something (eg her reaction when the listening device is found in the CIC, listening in on conversations in S2 between Lee and Starbuck) - and as Ron Moore keeps on saying it's not Roslin, Bill or Starbuck it most likely has to be Dualla or Gaeta (can't be Helo - he's the father of the 1st human-cylon child - and everyone else is already a cylon

), so I'll go with Dualla.

(and am prepared to eat humble pie when the final cylon is exposed

^ Was it the screener version of Razor you saw mate?

Am interested in seeing what scenes they are adding back in for the final cut - and also what scenes make it for the 'unrated edition' - if there is indeed a difference between them?

I thoroughly enjoyed Razor (screener version), the FX were top quality for a tv show and it was a nice piece of nostalgia with the addition of the old style Cylons (more scenes to be added in later). The Kendra character was an interesting one - especially towards the end of Razor.

Certainly has kept me interested for the eventual 4th season (c'mon the UK - please screen it first from December/Jan

)

Should be interesting to see how the Flashback minisodes continue to play out too...

^ apparently a 700mb screener version of Razor had made it's way on to a few torrent sites.

A fair few people have seen it - and the reviews so far are quite good

on the Razor Flashback minisodes they are up to episode 5 now - most intriguing plotlines

Can I assume it's a single core 1.8 Intel? Like a Pentium 4? Or is it a Core 2 Duo? Also, I'll assume that your graphics chip isn't an ATI or Nvidia. In that case, you don't really hav 200 mb graphics ram. What you've got is an integrated POS graphics chip that's taking 200 mb of system RAM, leaving you with about 1.8 GB of system RAM. You could probably turn off Aero to get a speed boost.

The other question is, what do you consider poor performance? I've personally never seen bad performance from Vista outside of the initial user login (when it sets up the desktop).

apologies - I forgot about my post in this thread - aye it is a single core intel, but it has an ATI Radeon graphics card. The 'Aero' substitute I rarely use as I think it's just a nice gimmick - same as with the sidebar (which seems to be the main cause of the power hogging).

I put Win 2000 on on a dual boot - and that runs very smoothly (as it did on my old P3 2002/3 laptop) - I'll keep both on for now - but at the momoent I can't think of a reason why I'd use Vista over 2000 other than the gimmicks.

Jennifer Ellison can look fine when she doesn't pile on the make-up and over-do the airbrushing - though I don't think her acting ability has come on much since Brookside?

As the photos not showing - they do seem on the large size? - though if you 'right click' on the 'x' you can copy and paste the url onto a page - nice pics

'Tis 1.8 Intel, with 2gb ram (uupgraded) and 200mb integrated graphics - which 'should' handle Vista Basic easily. For the speed and user friendliness of Vista I shall be going back to previous OS quite soon.

^ I agree mate - I bought a very cheap Toshiba laptop from the US which has Vista Basic on. Rather than upgrade to Premium (about $100/£50) I found a Sidebar that works fine and use 'Visual Task Tips' to provide the 'Aero experience'.

To be honest I'm still tempted to put 2000 (my fave OS from my old P3 laptop) or XP on it and take the Vista off and see how it does. To me Vista is a very memory and processor hog - which is uneccesary as it does nothing special or breathtaking.

I saw the original pilot and wasn't blown away by the quality or plot - but did think it had promise and the deaf sister was interesting character. Am kind of curious to see how David Eick (BSG co-producer) does with the show too.

Haven't watched the re-tooled version of the pilot yet.

May well give the series a go to see how ex-EastEnders actress Michelle Ryan does in the lead role - IMHO she couldn't act for toffee in the BBC soap - though she did well in the BWpilot... hmmnn...

Some of the best sci-fi to appear on tv - really enjoyed watching the series when it was first run on BBC2.

Will make a note to catch it when I'm in - 3pm and 8pm weekdays, 3pm on a Sat and Sunday

Virgin 1 could well turn out to be a decent channel - Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Riches, Star Trek, That 70's Show, Boston Legal, The X Files, old BSG, Takeshi's Castle etc - certainly could be a more than a rival to the now-dreadful Sky 1 channel...
