How many of you have done a Rogue One - A New Hope back-to-back viewing? I very much want to do so sometime in May if i can find the time, but i am curious if those who have done so think it is worth it? (watching a movie is pretty easy to find time for, but watching two in a row takes a bit more ‘convincing’).

It’s great. I planned a big R1-OT-TFA marathon the weekend after the blu ray came out, but I didn’t have time for all of them and my ROTJ DE disc was scratched (it’s been replaced since then), so I only got those two. It was a lot of fun to watch those two back to back though, imagining Krennic belonging in one of those boardroom chairs, seeing Alderaan annihilated after the previous smaller blasts on Jedha and Scarif, things like that.

The more I watch Rogue one the more I notice little things like…

Game Of Thrones’ Ser Barristan Selmy (Ian McElhinney) playing General Dodanna

and Imperial General Hurst Romadi (the bald guy who is on Tarkin’s staff from Star Wars - sitting in one of those boardroom chairs) is also in Rogue one (played by a different actor obviously - Andy de la Tour 😃)

  • Is the man in the high castle good? I’ve bene thinking about watching it.

Also - battlestar galatic (the reboot) is awesome.

Can be a bit of a slow burner at times - but worth it as the pace picks up towards the end of bother series so far.

Galactica was great - many superb episodes - especially early on. Hard to believe it started back in '03 now…

The UK Shameless is great - a lot more ‘raw’ than the US version - but both good enjoyable series.

loved the first two episodes from season 3 of The Leftovers - some crazy WTF enjoyable tv so far 😃

Wasn’t really sure where a cosplay story would best fit, so here it is. A little girl dressed as Jyn at a con so she could deliver the Death Star plans to the Princess. She gave a set to several versions of Leia. Really neat.

If you want a high quality remaster of the ROTJ soundtrack then I give my highest recommendation to the ABC remaster. I also used to think there was nothing to salvage until I listened to that beauty.

Is that on the spleen? I didn’t find it. I used to have it but it has disappeared from my folders…

I think it may be named ‘ABC’s Star Wars OT Soundtracks Salvage’ on the spleen - weighing in at 2.77gb (though if you only wanted the ROTJ part it’d be a lot less 😃)

Well that or Obi-Wan http://omegaunderground.com/2017/04/21/exclusive-mr-robot-creator-sam-esmail-might-pen-star-wars-anthology-script/

Sam Esmail doing a standalone SW film is something to look forward too 😃

(visions of Rami Malek a as a Rebel hacker in a dystopian future with friends/allies/enemies amongst his inner circle/surroundings - Portia Doubleday could be the first blonde in the SW universe 😉)

Just kidding (maybe?) - though it’d be very interesting to see what he would come up with…
