Our Star Wars Stories - Trailer’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQwn2k91GiI

‘Introducing ‘Our Star Wars Stories’, the new digital series from Lucasfilm in which Jordan Hembrough travels the country talking to fans about how Star Wars has impacted their lives.’

^ Hopefully it’ll have some interesting and rich fan stories from across the varying reaches of fandom (and if it is not just a sanitised / safe PR series… maybe something on those that like watching the unaltered theatrical versions of the Original Trilogy 😉)

The building your own R2 droid does look intriguing…

Some more info here - https://www.starwars.com/news/our-star-wars-stories

The first episode has been released on youtube (12 minutes long) - and all episodes are available for free for anyone to watch:-

’Albin Johnson and the Power of Fandom | Our Star Wars Stories’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE4UYy8EoyU

‘Jordan travels to Columbia, South Carolina to talk with Albin Johnson, founder of the 501st Legion fan group. Albin’s story is one of creativity and determination, facing unplanned and unimaginable heartbreak and tragedy, and the uplifting power of the Star Wars fan community.’

The second episode is:-

’How Star Wars Sparked Robin’s Journey | Our Star Wars Stories’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow66OQ29xRg

‘Jordan Hembrough visits Bernardsville, New Jersey, to talk to Robin, a doctor and collector whose life was deeply impacted by Star Wars. Through Star Wars, Robin saw new possibilities for science and her own path for a career in medicine.’

The third episode is:-

’Christina Cato and the Drive to Create | Our Star Wars Stories’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HO5mI_VlFw

‘Jordan Hembrough heads to Beaverton, Oregon, to meet Christina Cato, a Star Wars fan who taught herself the art and science of droid building. Challenging herself, Christina worked months to build her own functioning astromech from scratch; in the process, she discovered that she’s capable of more than even she herself previously believed.’

The fourth episode is:-

’How Star Wars Showed FJ That It’s OK to Be Yourself | Our Star Wars Stories’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXzOfKZmXOI

‘Jordan Hembrough goes to Washington Township, New Jersey, to chat with FJ, a collector who has used the lessons of Star Wars throughout his life. When he was younger, FJ struggled with who he was – but in Star Wars, he saw the power of diversity, equality, and being proud of oneself, no matter what.’

The fifth (and finale of the season) episode is:-

’The Perales Family and the Binding Force of Star Wars | Our Star Wars Stories’…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy2GhKi61LA

‘Jordan Hembrough travels to Anaheim, California, to meet the Perales family – Sal, Liz, Lizzy, and Axel – who share a love of Star Wars and cosplay that has enriched their lives in surprising ways.’

Europe lead the US 10-6 going into the final day’s Single Play…

As it stands Europe need 14.5 to win, the US requires 14 to retain the trophy - with 12 points to still play for in the Singles on Sunday.

Some cracking golf on display from both sides over the last couple of days - hope it continues tomorrow.

Well in Europe - winning the Ryder Cup 17.5 to 10.5 - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/golf/44076483

Molinari was superb - 5 points from possible 5. Sergio Garcia now the highest European scorer in Ryder Cup history (25.5 pts).

Europe have now won 9 of the last 12 Ryder Cups.

The next Ryder Cup is in 2020, in the US - Whistling Straits, in Kohler, Wisconsin; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Ryder_Cup

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

Unfortunately there’ll be no ‘Big Sleeve Editions’ of Solo in the UK:-

Big Sleeve Edition Fans - Facebook page

Hopefully someone else will produce them, or someone in another country will make them available.

The quality for TFA, TLJ and Rogue One ‘Big Screen Editions’ releases were great - with a real retro vinyl vibe going on with them - ot.com thread link

Am almost tempted to try some of the instructions for a custom-made cover in ^…^'s quality ‘custom made laserdisc/vinyl covers for blu-rays/DVDs’ thread - if there is some enough decent quality (and sized) art available.

Maybe stuff like this…

^ by the sublimely talented Matt Ferguson - who has knocked up covers for other Star Wars material too (and a host of other films as well) - https://twitter.com/cakes_comics & https://www.cakesandcomics.com/

Elsewhere in the UK, from earlier in the week…

‘After two days on sale, the spin-off starring Alden Ehrenreich, Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover has shifted 139,000 copies, that’s more than the rest of the Top 40 combined on today’s Official Chart Update.’

Hi Aratus, and welcome to the site 😃

Really enjoyed your video and can see the work that went into making it - very nicely done.

It may also be worth (if you get a further take-downs of the video) to also upload to somewhere like vimeo? (who don’t seem to suffer anywhere as many video removal requests 😉)

Hopefully you’ll find a few other Edits and Projects of interest here - see how other editors have approached and executed their releases.

The Ryder Cup tees off later this week…

Am not usually interested in the golf - though this tournament is a little different as it’s a team competition; with the US taking on Europe - and usually serves up some great golf, tension, atmosphere and finale.

This time around it’s being played at the ‘Le Golf National’ course in Paris, France - from the 28th to the 30th September.

^ Re Peter Davidson - it’s surely the wearing of the celery too? Even for the 80’s that was a bold move wearing a celery stalk on his lapel 😃

(Quality post, Puggo. Capaldi is my favourite since Ecclestone’s short term, though I do wish he’d had better writing for some of his tenure - or at least more stories focusing on him.)

In that case, I apologize. Next you may want to it more clear what it is you are talking about.

(other sites)

I make my posts pretty clear, and if anyone has an issue with them they are always welcome to ask questions or talk about them with me (or even PM me) - this is a discussion forum after all. Though I don’t really appreciate being cast with incorrect aspersions (not many people do at all, I imagine).

Though I accept your apology - even with whatever you wrote after it as some sort of redundant caveat / excuse as to why you wrongfully (and seemingly narcissistically) read into and then posted what you did - despite my already stating it was not about anything on here.

Cheers.
