Well, as for number 3, have you ever seen a James Bond-henchman that can actually hit a target? It doesn't just happen in Star Wars - both franchises would have been pretty short of the villains really were precise.

Yoda should've just been deleted visually from the PT and only mentioned. This doesn't spoil the character, only lets the audience know that Obi-Wan does indeed know a mysterious Jedi teacher called Yoda.

Aww, man, somebody should get a high-res version of that picture! It'd fit perfectly for a DVD cover for the Holiday Special! Actually, I'd be willing to put one together if somebody could post it somewhere - it would also be hilarious to add some of the new Harrison Ford quotes to the package.

Definitely! But I think the KCCI-version is the best we can get. Aside from a few lines that are so common with worn analogue video and a minor table wobble, it probably can't get any better. That's a 1st generation tape and most imperfections such as bluriness are probably there because the filming was shoddy.

I can agree with the theory that Anakin was ashamed. The old one was kinda "Oh, hello! Remember when I said I hated you and then later cut you in half with my lightsaber?". I just wish Hayden wouldn't start giving his own daughter the classic psycho stalker-look afterwards. It makes his redemption rather questionable!

The newer version, the KCCI version, is possibly the best quality the Holiday Special has ever been offered in. The only major defect that reveals it to be taken from an old 1978 tape is a tape wobble at the very end. I highly recommend this version!

So when CS players type "OMGZ ur so ghey!!!111!", they really mean "OMGZ ur so light-hearted and carefree!!!111!". I'm not convinced

I've certainly seen people use the word like that - in fact, that is what annoys me - but they're not doing it because it means "light-hearted and carefree". They are doing it because it is a term for "homosexual". Doesn't really matter how long it has been used that way, it's just ga... stupid!

Aye, now I have watched it and I enjoy it, thanks to Rikter's generosity! I have fallen in love with the animated segment and watch it regularly now. The rest of the special is hilarious. My favourite scenes would have to be the holographic circus (mainly because of the music and Lumpy's facial expression), Harvey Korman as the chef ("HAVING FUN! HAVING FUN!"), Princess Leia on heroin (I laughed out loud the first time I saw her stumble towards the big screen) and the whole Cantina-sequence (Ponda Baba is one helluva dancer). Christ on a cross, that's what I call humour!

I watched the SE on the big screen with my dad and I still have vivid memories of it. I didn't even know much about the changes, and I didn't care. It was an awesome experience and despite Lucas' constant tinkering, I really look forward to 2007!

Hayden is a decent actor. It all comes down to Lucas' writing and directing. Hayden thought Anakin was too whiny and unlikeable in AOTC, but Lucas persisted. Hayden just did what he was told to do, which is a pretty good idea since that's what he gets his salary for. "Who's the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?"
