That would be me.  4xAgain  See the 3D at least once, if there's something i'd like to verify on the technological side could see it twice.  Haven't heard any talk of lines forming.

Bingowings wrote: they inserted a green 1950's style robot into the Jawa droid sale which creates another continuity goof when it fails to appear in a later shot.

Guessing they are referring to either:

R1-G4 :   or one of the low domed LIN-V8K droids:

Here are the results of the BR changes via the MF.com thread and the OT.com SE changes threads:

False or Production Titles Thread
Time

Came across a 1978 SW interview and the reviewer mentioned that the upcoming sequel was to be called 'The Kingdom Strikes Back'.  Having never heard this one before thought maybe it would be a good idea to have a thread to remember all the odd rumored titles or production titles these films were given over the years.  From 'The Star Wars' to 'Jar-Jar's Great Adventure' what other never heard again titles have these films had?

Info: The Making of The Empire Strikes Back (Michel Parbot)
Time

It's nice to see a glimpse at the pieces which haven't surfaced.  The unseen segments seem to focus on the SFX motion control group, and the end piece on Sound. (Burtt/Williams)  That might be a clue who's the supplier.  Wonder how detailed they explain the system.

thought this was phunnie:

Movie + Full + Active
Time

After the blu-ray release the automatic detection software youtube uses was given the go ahead to remove much of the Star Wars material and many of the Full Movie Versions previously listed were removed.  And yet, for the last month, this blu-ray rip version has been allowed to exist:

R.I.P. BOB ANDERSON 1922-2012
Time

2009's, 'Reclaiming the Blade'

http://www.reclaimingtheblade.com/  (trailer has clips of the Anderson interview)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0961079/

a documentary about how swords were traditionally used, interviewed Bob anderson.  There's a behind the scenes shot from ESB which I hadn't seen elsewhere.  Here's some of the dialog from the SW segment.

The idea of a free army. A theme in movies. (shows movie posters: Star Wars, Robin Hood, Lord of the Rings) 04:10 (movie sword play) 06:30 Bob Anderson talks: 00:09:09,315 --> 00:09:11,681 Then he said, "Oh, and he was Darth Vader." He was actually in Darth Vader's costume actually doing all the light saber work. And I was like... that sort of struck a resonance with me, you know. Oh, Darth Vader, yes. It's just a cloak and a helmet that I was underneath it all. I did choreograph the fights. I did 3 of those. It was good work for me. It became the weapon of choice in that series of films. Indeed even, it seems when somebody's making a science-fiction movie and off in space they can't seem to escape from the sword. I wonder why that is? What is it? It's your father's light saber. This is a weapon of a Jedi knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age. To go into the future and then think about laser swords, that's brilliant. Suddenly "Star Wars" is not just a sci-fi movie, it's also a modern version of a hero legend. 09:05-10:25

Orson Welles and Star Wars

Great topic!

Leonardo: What does the shooting script say? Or any of the drafts?

Going through the version at the Starkiller Script site:

http://starwarz.com/starkiller/category/star-wars-scripts/star-wars-star-wars-scripts/

The "take orders" line shows up in the Revised Fourth Draft (March 15, 1976).  According to Bouzereau's 'Annotated Screenplays' this line and Leia's original statement before and reply were added by Gloria Katz and Wlilard Huyck.

The "No reward" line is from George's script. (not in the early drafts)

So there's a possibility the 'No reward' line dug up some memory in Katz/Huyck which lead to the dialog.

For fans of this kind of audio clip melarky, Nick Bougas' "Celebrities... At Their Worst!" compilations are a great.

The reprint would say this as well, as the copyright hadn't changed.  But you'd need to find someone with a different version to check if there is a note saying 'Second Printing, Nov 1978' or something similar.

Here's someone else's scans: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VTJTHYCC

Here's someone selling the second edition:

http://www.amazon.com/Star-movie-program-theatrical-release/dp/B0032MWW6S

This 16-page softcover program was one of the earliest products available for sale in theaters where Star Wars was shown in 1977. It features color and black and white photos, cast biographies, character information, and accounts of making the film. The second edition features a textured cover, compared to the glossy cover of the first edition. The 2nd edition interior pages also have a matte rather than a glossy finish.

Here's a page selling a copy for $40 bucks (1st edition)

http://emorysmemories.tripod.com/websale/star_wars.htm

STAR WARS ORIGINAL THEATRICAL MOVIE PROGRAM: May 1977, First Printing, purchased at the film premiere, graded and priced as VF due to a 1 inch back cover and last page crinkle, size 11.75 x 9 inches, 20 pages including covers.
