I don't know if he has acquired the Cinema DTS for the trilogy, but it is easily available on MySpleen to grab if/when he needs it...  That being said, I am guessing that his work on ROTJ Despecialized holds priority over completing the Respecialized Trilogy.

I was perusing the threads and could not find an answer... so I apologize if it was an hiding in plain sight...  I have what is perhaps a silly question about the video for these releases...  Was the the color timing adjusted for both films in an attempt to more closely resemble those color seen back in their original releases?  Am I understanding that correctly?

Looks like I'll have to purchase a new hard drive... and a blu ray burner... and some blank blu ray discs...  Haha!

How might I be able to get myself a physical copy of these discs?  

I am only asking because my printer is not suitable for printing these covers or disc labels.

I stumbled across a nice little gem last night.  It's not laserdisc related, but it is Bond related...  When I was a kid, first getting into the Bond movies, I would go to the local video store with my folks to rent the films on VHS.  Several of those VHS tapes had a Pink Panther short prior to the start of the film.  I had been missing those short cartoons with each subsequent edition of the films I owned, but I stumbled onto the "Connery Classics" version of From Russia With Love with the Pink Panther short, "In The Pink Of The Night."  Not bad for $1.  :-)

I actually grabbed Harmy's Despecialized Trilogy before getting into myslpleen.  To do this, links to the download can be found at tehparadox.  Register for a free account, then search.  There are links for the Despecialized Trilogy as well as the Episode IV Respecialized.

It would make things easier most likely, if you were to use a download client like jdownloader to help manage the links.

Spider-Man 1 & 2 are available in Fullscreen on DVD. Spider-Man is a true open matte presentation since it was filmed on flat 35mm. The second movie was shot on Super35 in 2.39:1 so it's half opened/half cropped exactly like T3.

The Big Lebowski does exist on DVD and it's a true open matte version without any real cropping issues.

BeetleJuice, The Faculty, The Matrix trilogy, Reservoir Dogs... all of these are available on Fullscreen DVDs as well.

 I haven't seen it myself, but I have read that that there is an open-matte version of Predator out there as well...

Also, there is a full frame/open matte version of The Matrix available on myspleen.  Have not watched it yet myself, but there is also a thread here about it.

Also, I am not sure if this any of you folks are already familiar with this website, but I stumbled onto a site that has a lot of trailers scanned from 16mm and 35mm sources... looks like many of them are in HD as well!  All 007 films of course...  ;-)  There's also some radio spots for some of the films.

 Thank you!! haha  :-D  I will definitely be going back to raid their laserdisc stock a few more times!  :)  Hopefully they'll be carrying some more 007 titles in the future.

Also scored... Back to the Future, Ghostbusters (single disc Criterion), Jurassic Park, Die Hard 1 & 2, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade... all letterbox editions, of course!  ;-)

GoldenEye - ML 105544

Got these things for  $1 USD apiece!  Unfortunately, I do not have a laserdisc player so I cannot watch them, but at least I have 'em in my collection.

Some of the first laserdiscs I've ever owned!  :-D

Grabbed this one yesterday... Spot checked it last night and it looks truly glorious.  Can't wait to watch the whole thing!  Thank you!!  :-D

Several venues stateside have announced or listed 4K DCPs. Seems that about 5 to 10 are completed.

I saw that the other day as well...  My hope is that they use the original mono audio mix, but I'm thinking they'll probably use a recent 5.1 remix of some sort.

Looks to me like the picture will be a brand new scan and restoration?  Not sure.

I was shopping in a thrift store a number of years ago, and mixed in with the LPs were a a ton of laserdiscs...  At the time, I thought "pshhhh... laserdiscs?? Who wants a laserdisc any more??"

If only I knew then what I know now...

To be quite honest, I am having a hard time finding differences between the two...  Perhaps my eye isn't quite as discerning as others, but I would be perfectly happy with either one.

The raw WAVs for the Theatrical DTS audio of the 97 Special Edition trilogy are up on myspleen.

So, I'm curious... this being the first time I'm grabbing your semi-specialized versions of the films... For the hologram scene in ESB, which version will you be using?

 This looks wayyyyy better to me... and how I remember it looking in the digital IMAX screen I saw it on...

Several shots really benefited from the open matte, particularly the establishing shots in the city-scapes.  The cinematography just looked stunning... in the Shanghai scenes (city shot and the silhouette fight), also the scene which Bond is going to the Macau Casino.  Really showed off the beauty of the scenery.  And of course, the big explosion at the end was just awesome.  I remember being almost overwhelmed by the combination of the visual/audio element of the IMAX theater.  :D
