A girl I was dating once had a kid with some other guy a few years after we broke up and that was a weird feeling at the time.

Yeah, that is a weird feeling. I was just glad the kid wasn’t mine.

As far as you know. 😉

Unless she was pregnant for four and a half years, it definitely wasn’t. The kid also looks part black.

Trying not to get too optimistic about Korea. On one hand, this would be great for all parties concerned and the world. On the other hand, we had basically the exact same fanfares and promises in 2000 which turned out to just be cover for a half-billion dollar bribe. Hope is appealing, but cynicism is maintaining a slight lead in my head right now.

Yeah, let us not forget Kim Jong Un is the guy who has had multiple people assassinated (that we know about).

And he’s really ugly too.

To some degree, I can not answer some of those follow-up questions in a meaningful way, because

True. Though, some people do present themselves as though their opinion is the correct one.
…and that probably also includes me.

When you use words like “truths” to describe your beliefs, is it difficult not to think that you present your opinion as the correct one.

It’d be a pretty odd belief if that wasn’t the case tho. I mean believing things are true is sort of why we believe in them 😉

Saying “I believe it is true” is not the same as “I know it is true, I’m 100% sure of that, it is a fact and there are evidences”.

But there are evidences. They just aren’t reproducible in a controlled environment. The fact that you dispute the credibility of those evidences doesn’t make them not evidences.

Having a feeling about something isn’t evidence.

And everybody’s always worried about offending religious people, but a lot of religious beliefs are offensive to me. Generally speaking, no one cares about what offends me, and I’m not asking them to. I just don’t like the abitrary double standard.

And I’ve never once said that anyone on here was dumb or stupid or even wrong for what they believe. In fact, I called out Catbus’s cosmic space duck thing as being pretty insulting to theists. I have, however, been extremely critical of religious figures and idols and that is what supposedly makes people like me bigots.

I have a problem with the notion that religious ideologies deserve respect. No one has any extra respect for my theories on the Kennedy assassination, and they shouldn’t be expected to by the way, but when it comes to my religious views, everyone is suddenly expected to respect my beliefs. I don’t see people’s personally held beliefs as inherently worthy of respect. I don’t think that the Pope is above being raked over the coals for his role in the child rape coverups just because he’s sacred to Catholics. I don’t think the Islamic religion and the so-called “Prophet” Muhammad are worthy of any level respect just because they’re sacred to Muslims. I guess that makes me a bigot 😉

Seriously though, for me, for one to say that I ought to be skeptical and realistically more than zero percent uncertain of the existence of God and whether He cares, it is akin to saying I should treat my relationship with my wife as though we barely even met. My relationship has long since evolved past that point, and I’m longing to learn more and grow, and I want to be closer.

I don’t understand this comparison at all.

I’m going to be completely honest, I can’t complain that an “inconclusive” HIV test disqualifies someone from donating blood. Better safe than sorry. And by the way this is coming from someone who also is barred from donating blood so I know how you feel.

I give blood regularly. Apparently, redcross.org says I’ve donated 42 times.

What does that have to do with my post?
