That’s a funny thread though. It was a disaster, but it had redeeming qualities. Pretty much every thread related to TFA is a candidate at this point, and now every thread related to prequels is a candidate because narcissistic hipsters show up to be annoying. George Lucas sold Star Wars so that originaltrilogy.com would collapse in on itself in this way, thus leading the greatest curse on cinematic history to wipe out its only hope for preservation in order to get rid of the bootleg market, meaning that when global warming wipes out the earth and Donald Trump murders all people in the country, Star Wars (the greatest curse upon cinematic history) will fade into nothingness where it never should have emerged from in the first place leaving the universe as barren as it was before the big bang theory.

That would take too much screen time after the climax. That would take a whole other movie. Also, why would she leave Luke with Owen and Beru if she was still alive. Why wouldn’t she want to raise both of her children herself?

It could have been assumed, especially since Leia says that her mother died when she was young. That’s the problem with the prequels. Everything had to be tied into a neat bow. Why couldn’t we just be left to assume that Boba Fett was some bounty hunter trying to make his way in the universe? Instead, George had to spell it out that he was a clone from New Zealand.
