It really doesn’t hold up as well as it did when I was nine. The main character is an unlikable prick and it looks like a made-for-TV production.
The thought of someone being nine years old in 2010 reminds me of how I’m elderly person.
Based on those prices I’m assuming that most of their selection will be priced fairly.
I tracked down a local store that has pretty good prices. $3 for Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt and $12 for Super Mario Bros 2 and 3. These are pretty good deals given the insanely inflated prices online.

The AT-LP120 is the best budget TT for beginners. It ranges from 200-250 dollars on Amazon. You could probably find a better one used for a reasonable price as well.

I’ve always had sort of a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that all these Bonds are along the same timeline, even as a kid (maybe harder for me because there was 20 films and therefor more to reconcile).
Yeah, but Gogol’s appearance in the Living Daylights ties Dalton in with Moore, and Moore’s leaving flowers on his wife’s grave ties him to Lazenby, who was tied to Connery since Connery sought revenge on Blofeld in Diamonds Are Forever. The age and appearance makes no sense of course, but I guess that’s the consequence of a several decade long series.
Also Moore is tied to Connery in “Live and Let Die” via Quarrel Jr. and to Lazenby via comments by Anya in “The Spy Who Loved Me” about Bond’s tragic marriage. Dalton is also connected to Lazenby to yet another comment about Bond’s deceased wife by Moore’s Felix Lighter from “Live and Let Die”. Lazenby is very heavily connected to Connery via Bond’s nostalgic desk emptying scene in OHMSS.
Absolutely. There’s about a million little connections between them all until Craig. What’s there in favor of a codename theory? A joke about how “this never happened to the other fella”.
I had actually never considered the fact that the only reason the clones even showed up was because they followed a lead to Kamino. If Palpatine wanted Kamino to be discovered, why was it deleted from the books? Whatever.
There is also the small thing that Palpatine needed the Jedi to discover the clones so that he could start his war. As I understand it, Palpatine ordered Jango to use the toxic dart on Zam with the knowledge that the Jedi would eventually trace it to Kamino. He also must have ordered Dooku to erase the planet from the archives, which would draw attention to itself when combined with the existence of the dart. It then follows that Palpatine must have ordered Jango to go to Kamino and wait for the Jedi to show up, and then lead the Jedi to Geonosis so that the war could begin. It sounds really contrived when put in those terms, but that’s George Lucas for you.
If anyone has another reason why Jango would singlehandedly lead the Jedi into a war, I’m all ears.
It was stylistically designed to be that way and we can’t undo that, but we can diminish the effects of it.

Sure, but ever since I was a child I’ve always liked thinking that the first 20 films are all part of one singular timeline.

Given what you listen to, it may not be worth it. I listen to almost anything and everything, so the majority of my collection was bought for less than $3-4. Your music might be tough to track down.
Does anyone here have any recommendations on where to find reasonably-priced NES, SNES, and N64 cartridges online? Ebay has poor selection and everyone selling thinks their copy of Kung Fu is worth $25. Is there a discogs-type website for old video games?
Honestly your best bet is offline. They’re not commonplace but if you can find a store that sells old video games, that’s probably where you’ll find the best price.
Probably, but I live in a pretty dead area, so any craigslist deals or decent stores would be pretty difficult for me. There is an awesome vinyl record store with great prices though!
