Especially since it’s safe to bet that that particular purchase of Jedi is not the theatrical version. If anyone wanted to pay for it and check, they’d probably get their money back because of the false advertising. I don’t see any point to that though.

Im saying that makes it unlikely the algorithm mistook the digital version for the GOUT, as they say “Theatrical version” as opposed to “limited”
If it’s an innocent mistake and not a leak, then it might have to do with TFA being labelled as theatrical, which is also a bit of a mystery, but one I’m admittedly uninterested in.
Also, Amazon lists the ROTJ GOUT as “Limited Edition”.

This reminds me of how people got all excited to see Star Trek: The Motion Picture’s director’s cut up on one of the streaming/download sites only to find out it was simply the dvd master. Same thing happened with Undiscovered Country IIRC.
I doubt that they would just slap the GOUT transfer on Amazon because it would be very low quality. In Lucas’s mind, the low quality was justified because it was an oddity on a bonus disc, but as a product being sold specifically, it wouldn’t cut it. The whole reason there’s a demand for the OOT is because the GOUT was so subpar.

No way, keep in mind that the theatrical versions were just bonus features to the SE in the GOUT package, not to mention that’s really old and has nothing to do with Disney Movies Anywhere. It probably depends on the retailer, but I’d imagine it’s quite a bit of notice, especially for a behemoth like Amazon.

I have a feeling this is a big mistaken leak on Amazon’s part. I won’t complain if we get the OOT obviously, but I do hope that it’s available on blu ray and not solely on digital.

I don’t get the argument at all that somehow minorities aren’t capable of getting an ID. It’s not unreasonable to need an ID to vote.
But if they don’t like Hillary, why would they vote for her? I don’t understand this logic. If they don’t like her, they probably wouldn’t have voted for her regardless of who else is on the ticket, and most likely did not think Trump was that bad. Furthermore, frankly it’s long overdue a third party had power in government. I do not see how not voting for your candidate is childish.

Bernie supporters in swing states not voting for Hillary because of what the DNC did to Bernie was childish…unless they somehow truly still believe things would be no better under Hillary than things already are under Trump. And if you’re really a Bernie supporter, I don’t know how you can possibly believe that. And if they do, I think they’re deluding themselves.
Bernie supporters tended to hate Hillary long before what she and her cohorts did to him at the DNC. There was never going to be a rush of his people voting for her.

I really don’t think that Making Star Wars would post this rumor if they didn’t believe that it would most likely happen, and so far I don’t feel like I’ve seen any convincing reasons as to why it’s not true; Digital Bits, for example didn’t exactly reveal anything new, so I’d say that unless Making Star Wars redacts the story, there’s some legitimacy to it.

I agree with you. This is the reason why I can’t stand the Star Wars fandom, I’ve never seen anything like it with any other major franchise.
The Star Wars fandom is by far the most bitter, antagonistic, and just generally meanspirited fandom that I’ve ever encountered. Not everybody is like that, but enough are to pretty much sour the whole thing for me.
I don’t get why Bill Hunt is so convinced that it won’t happen this year based on what he has said. Basically everything that he learned from those people that he referenced has already been known for a while.
It’s a bummer that he has to deal with so many weirdos and jerks on twitter, but I don’t get this smug indifference about the original version. It’s not a good look for people who (either as fans, or working at LFL, or blogging about their particular Star Wars-related fetishes) are heavily invested in all the other goofy details of that world.
