STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 <strong>REVISITED</strong> ADYWAN *<em>1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION</em>
Time

I’m glad that I don’t have an ear for music. I remember the Imperial March, the main title theme, the cantina music and that’s about all. Oh and Luke’s theme (if that’s the one with the two suns). None of the music in Solo or Rouge One is memorable to me. I tend to remember vocal songs more, like Evenessence in the Daredevil movie. That track in Rouge One that someone linked a few posts ago doesn’t say Star Wars to me at all. I listened to it 5 min ago and already forgot it.

That being said, I’m for an alternate audio track that includes at least part of the Imperial March. I also want the battle droid from EP 1. I pretty much think the DVD version of ANH Revisited is already perfect and most likely don’t even want the HD version. DVD and HD/ 4K look exactly the same to me anyway. Gotta love bad eyesight and partial colorblindness.

Is this the original uncut version? that only ever saw the light of day on ABC twice? before they edited the opening, can some please PM me the download link?

Not really sure what you mean. I didn’t know of any TV only edits, only the edits to combine them for DVD and Blu Ray releases, as well as the fake widescreen cropping for DVD. The missing footage was taken from laser disc.

PM sent to you and Moiisty. I take it that The Hutt dropped off of the face of the Earth?

Lucky me, I have bad eyesight, so I cannot tell the difference between SD/HD/4K footage (except on cable/ satellite, where it seems like they use footage of lesser than DVD quality), so if I don’t like the old version, I can watch the DVD version. I’m of those that like the PT and ST, so the more continuity, the better.

Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back (!) - Original Theatrical Version (Released)
Time

I own the original theatrical cut on both VHS and LaserDisc. I will be doing my own preservation of it as soon as I get my new capture card. While an HD restoration would not be possible because no large versions of the non-GCI frames exist, I will at least attempt to preserve it up to a Progressive DVD format (MPEG-2 DVD, 23.976fps Progressive)

Here are all the versions I own and will use:
• Japan Theatrical LaserDisc, ShoPro (main source)
• Japan Theatrical VHS, ShoPro (may be required to fill the Side A > Side B transition on LaserDisc)
• Japan Kanzenban VHS (TV Tokyo print with Ash’s Journey intro), ShoPro (reference only)
• Japan Kanzenban DVD (DVD print without AJ intro), ShoPro (for Japanese DD 5.1 track, Japanese DD 2.0 track, and reference)
• US DVD, Warner Bros. (for reference and for English audio & subtitles)
• Japan Blu-Ray from Pikachu The Movie Premium Box Set, ShoPro (may use Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track)
• 2016 US Blu-Ray, Viz Media (Cartoon Network remaster, English audio contains fixed errors such as wrong Pokemon names, may use audio as a bonus)
• Ryuu-Rogue fansubs (for Japanese audio)

SOFTWARE:
Adobe Premiere Pro CS6
Adobe After Effects CS6
Handbrake
Subtitle Edit
USEac3To

EQUIPMENT:
Realistic MD-1000 Multi-Disc Player (LaserDisc/CD-Video/CD-Digital Audio)
Funai SV2000 DVD Recorder
Windows 10 Pro
8GB DDR3 RAM
ASUS GTX570 DirectCU II Graphics Card (1280MB GDDR5)

Have you ever done this? I’d be interested in seeing it.

As I said, I have to restart from scratch.
I will share some content soon.

Hey man, awesome stuff! Back when you first started this topic, I downloaded all of your YouTube clips. Just in case you don’t have them anymore, I PM’d you with links to mediafire uploads I made of all of them. Look forward to your version of Revenge of the Sith one day to fit alongside the Revisted project of the OT!

Awesome job! I haven’t watched the whole thing yet (from this project at least), but I jumped to the cut scenes and they are seamless. Can’t even tell they were removed! Funny how the commentary track mentions stuff about the aspect ratio and how they had to frame it just right for TV to fit all 7 characters (which was made fake widescreen on the DVD version for some dumb reason), plus they talk about the fact that it was a miniseries airing on two nights (even though it was made into one part on Blu and one part cut in half on a flipper disc on DVD).

I actually synced the commentary track to this edit and would like to share it as well. I had to make a couple of small modifications to the track to fit this longer version of the movie, so everything stayed in sync.

I wish Luke, Han and Leia would still be seen together in the ending.
Since it’s much more sad in hindsight in The Force Awakens, since that would be the last time they were together in a main movie.

Why not have the Ewok celebration, the planet celebration, the shot of Han, Luke, and Leia together, and finally the ghosts and then Luke by himself, in that order. That way, everything can still be there.

So, Luke just left Vader’s body chilling on Endor somewhere while he partied with his buddies?

Uh, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie. Better rewatch it I guess.
