Is the new DVD release of Episode IV gonna have a selectable crawl like the EditDroid disc? I heard something like that before, but now I'm not sure. I know it may not be the ORIGINAL crawl, and is probably re-created, but that's not my question here. Will there be two crawls to choose from or just the one?

You guys should be seeing my awesome DVD soon. I just need to burn a few DVDs and with my 1x burner, this takes about 2hrs for each disc. Work and other crap always gets in the way unfortunatly. Don't worry, you guys will be watching this soon.

I would love to get the entire series as it aired on TV. This includes the episodes released as movies on VHS. I don't want them as movies, I want them as they were aired (well except without commericals).

Did anyone buy the official DVD of this that was just released in the US? It's has a red slipcover with a fist on it. There is a mini comic that's included with it. Can anyone provide me with a scan of that comic so I can include that as an extra for my bonus disc?

Irishmile, those are great covers. If I could just make one suggestion. The Deleted Magic logo, I know you didn't create it, but what about adding the Star Wars logo into the border, like the Building Empire logo? Just to make everything match better. I thought about incorporating A New Hope somehow, but I don't know if that would work.

Phew. I finally got it working and I only had to DVD shrink it to level 1. You really can't tell any difference in the video quality. So email me at marioxb@ameritech.net and I will tell you where to mail the discs to. I can't wait for people to see this and tell me what they think! Other than a few audio lines in my crazy hybrid track (which I debated on even doing), I am very pleased with the results. Now for disc 2!

SL. It's only 4.99 GB or something like that. When shrunk to fit an SL disc, it's not going to be noticable. It would be a waste of a DL. Besides, the extras are not ready yet and I want them to be on a separate disc.

It's really done now guys! I am just compiling the DVD as we speak. Damn, that Japanese/ English hybrid track was tough. I couldn't totally remove the Japanese singing during the final battle. It's harder to hear, but this also made a few Japanese voices harder to hear. Oh well, it's only for a few lines, and I guess that's what the subtitles are for.

Good point! Hey, does anybody know of a way to get this or any other bonus features for the movie? TV spot that used to be up on RetroJunk.com. I do have the theatrical trailer as well as clip from a Power Glove help video and a clip from a CBS airing of the movie. Anything else would greatly be appreciated.

For the menus, I was thinking I'd have scene selections where you can actually jump to the appearance of a particualar NES game! How does that sound?

Maybe a screenshot of the game with a caption underneath, like "Zelda II" or "TMNT" or "Contra" "SMB3" etc, in addition to a normal scene seletion maybe.

I know! I never thought we would have seen this movie in widescreen at all, much less animorphic! I have the LD and the German DVD and both of those are foolscreen.

What about the movie itself? Is there any non-newsgroup way for me to get it? I could supply a briefcase full of cash, if need be? OK, maybe not. But is there any torrent site someone can post it to? Or can someone send me the discs in the mail? I'd appreciate it! I don't even care if it's HD quality. DVD quality is good enough for me, even though I do have an HDTV. As long as it's better quality than the Japanese LD rip I have. That's ok, my main problem with it is that it seems to bright or something.

What do you guys think of me doing a project similar to what I did with Backstroke of the West for this Nintendo commercial called the Wizard? Apparantly it has no extras or a scene selection. What if I were to make some menus w/ a scene selection and a couple of trailers and do it as a kit, just like I did Backstroke? Meaning, you have to buy the DVD to get the movie files to add in to it. What do you guys think of that? If we can find any other extras and stuff like that, that would be great too. I think a couple of downloadable trailers are at retrojunk.com.

I am very happy with what I have accomplished so far with the hybrid English music and Japanese voices track. It's pretty much complete now. All I have to do is the final battle. All of the scenes before and after this one are done. I have the American music for this scene, all I need is the Japanese audio, preferably stripped from the center channel on the Japanese 5.1 track from the new DVD. I think those that requested the Japanese voices and English version music combined will be happy with the choices I have made. Not all of the Japanese music has been replaced, and some various English voices remain. Some background voices, such as "Yeah that's great, kick ass!" and "your drink, sir." and others as well as I left a lot of the special move yelling from the English version, like Guile's Sonic Boom, because either I liked them better from the English version, or it was simply easier to do that way. I can't wait for you all to see this and let me know what you think! Just to clarify, the original US and Japanese tracks will also be included, as well as a third audio option, for those that want to hear the English music combined with the Japanese voices.

OK, I am finishing creating my special surprise audio track! A few people requested it, so I thought, what the heck! What it is, is the Japanese voices combined with the English version music. I just need to find a way to combine two audio tracks into one for where I have to re-dub lines. For instance, I want to take a song and have Japanese voices talking over it.

Cool! Those all sound like great ideas! I don't have DL, so it should be two DVD-5's. Right now it's at a little under 5gb. Will I lose a lot using DVD-shrink on it? Probably nothing noticable, right?

It will definatly be two DVDs though. I'd have to go back and add new menus and everything in order for all of the bonus features to be on the same disc, and I really don't want to do that. Not to mention I can't do dual layer discs.

I can't wait for everyone to see this and tell me what they think. I think it came out rather nicely, if I do say so myself. Everything is how it could have and should have been from the factory.
