Wow. Looks like a different source.
Now, never mind your youtube career :-) where's this edit?
I think yous guys are getting me wrong. The way I see it one day this method although in its infancy now, may be able to yield a free floating 3d picture ie: No stereoscopic method needed. It would be more like the holo deck in Star Trek. It would look totally natural and real. The problems it gives now eventually will be worked out, I'm totally sure!
Remember how bad LCD and PLasma tvs were when they first came out, crt was amazingly bad when first invented. The pictures were awful, the sets were huge, no colour! But in the big scheme of things it hasnt took that long to get were we are now. 8k, yes 8K displays with colours and depth to die for, Tv's as thin as a pain of glass!
I for one cant wait to sit in the Tantive's corridor, laser blasts left and right and then Vader strolls through that door way :-)
Sheeet! I want it now!
Dont know about lightsabres but cant wait till the colours and rendering problems are sorted as we'll actually have Hologram tv!
Can you imagine Star Wars in full natural 3D, life size floating in front of you? Geez I hope this all happens before I pop my clogs.
I wonder if this deal with Disney actually includes "Star Wars" in its original form as apposed to "A new hope", you never know GL says that Star Wars was an unfinished film in which case may not actually be part of the Lucasfilm catalogue.
Has everyone forgotten that George believes the end of the world is this December.
Any one else think he may using the money for his own rocket and construction of his space station house were he'll live out his days circling the smoldering rock that was once the earth?
Anyway full admiration for George giving so much to charity.
I hope this isn't the new line up:
Mines the same, hope to hear from you soon.
Yahoo new Blade runner!
Thanks Zombie.
Should have just had a go at this myself! I'm just too lazy:-{

Do you also plan to sell TESB, -1?
Are you guys done digitizing it?
sure, we've been done for awhile now
with that. however, we might hold onto it
a little bit longer for redoing a few scenes.

Never found any feedback on this, I mailed the theater too to no avail.
Brilliant write up none thanks for that, I love the sound of the ambiance ie: the kids running round before the movie started and the community feel, wish I could of been their.
Just need some one in England to do it now.
Wow! More pictures please!
^ Yeah. I use a full hd projector which can display 24fps natively, which it does when playing an official Blu ray, but if I encode an AVCHD at 23.976 the player converts it to 60hz. Im now wondering if it could be the software I use "multiavchd" which I use to add simple menus or alter the size and or uncropmkv and tsmuxer which I use to do a straight remux. I'm now thinking of getting myself a different player as it looks like Panny ones are the most picky when using avchd's.

Thanks for the links Stretch. Had a look doesn't look like it should have a problem playing 23.976 of which it does play but as I say converts to 60hz but i have noticed on the sites for audio they all say ac3 or pcm, I have lots of discs with dts sound and the player happily plays them. I think the 60hz problem might be the players fault but cant cant find much info on the subject on the web.
To actually burn them I use imageburn its freeware, Just set at its auto burn and never had a problem burning, the program also knows if the disc or the file has bad sectors and will inform you as such and also lets you choose were to set the layer break if needed.
Yeah I use Verbatum Singapore never had any probs. Checked for updates on the Panasonic website but my player is up to date. So it looks like its only AVCHD's at 23.976 the player converts to 60hz. Very weird. Tried encoding at 24fps but the the audio goes out of sync but if a standard dvd encoded at ntsc standards at 23.976 lets me choose to play at 60 or 24 htz! Very, very weird.
Its Lucas. He's getting Harmy to sort out his next releases.

Hey Neg, will the final product be 24 fps or 23.976?
I've noticed anything I've encoded at 23.976 my (panasonic) Blu Ray player converts it to 60hz, its only discs at encoded at 24 it seems to play at 24.
we're working at 24fps i think.
i've gotten different test files for it.
so i'll make sure... especially for the
DVD version...which might be 23.976..
later
-1
well, i went back and asked
cinch for confirmation about it.
and.. the answer is 23.976 fps
for all the work..
there you go..
later
-1
Cheers Neg. Just dont want your eventual release to not play as intended on my av stuff.
And catbus thanks, will have a look at the firmware version over the weekend and see if it needs updating, it is and old player now though, Panny bd35, dont think its my cables as I say all my official blu rays play at 24hz its only my other discs, the not so official ones that seem to have the problem.
Wondering, is that normal/standard for the player to do that?
