I was reading up on the Legacy 4K Scan and I’m wondering why Lucasfilm is so afraid of it. They let Despecialized and Silver Screen have free reign. Hundreds of copies sold on ebay. But Verta was told point blank if it gets out, they will go after him.

The saber duel with him and Palpatine was originally something with stunt doubles and worked out moves. Then on the day they were going to shoot it- Lucas made them change it. In like half an hour.
All of the PT characters. Most if not all of the R1 characters. Poe Dameron, Captain Jokema, and General Kid in TFA.

I just realized we’ll likely see the Skywalker lineage end with Luke and Leia. I doubt that Rey will be a Skywalker, and I really don’t think Kylo will survive the trilogy.

The last Zahn book I read, Scoundrals, was so bad I don’t know if I’m ready for Thrawn yet. Might let the taste get out of my brain first.

Amen. The nice AMC theater me and my bestie go to for Star Wars movies has deluxe seating, which is assigned. Its so nice to not have to go an hour early and sit. I wish all theaters did that.
I think Lucas did lose his touch between the OT and the PT. He had spent 1983-1994 doing more business side of things and working in the producer/idea role. He didn’t ask for the help he should have and any criticism was brushed off, like he was told Jar Jar wasn’t going to work.
I know Lucas helped out with some of Jurassic Park, and his ideas for the most part have something you can work with. If you look at the rough draft of what became The Phantom Menace- you can see that he could have made something good out of it. Instead he decided to appeal to kids, not everyone.
This is what happens when we treat PT-first fans like people. It goes to their heads like strong drink.

Maybe understanding droid is something the Jedi teach, along with the other skills. Poe would have learned it growing up with a pilot mom and when he trained it would probably come up. Rey might have learned it from Unkar Plot. Luke might not have had the time to learn it in the OT.

They did only say he returned to his ship. The Blockade Runner was probably landed, Artoo and Threepio boarded and it docked with the cruiser. Their cameo got the biggest applause when I saw it opening night.
They aren’t Starhawks, way too small. They look like gunships or transports of some kind. I’ve seen it speculated they are above D’Qar and are Resistance personal escaping a First Order attack.
Thrawn can easily be recalled to the Unknown Regions on the Emperor’s orders. It would explain why he isn’t in the OT.
So many people on social media are saying that TLJ teaser was boring, but that’s what people said of ESB, so I’m looking forward to a more thoughtful, more mystically tuned entry. Also, Skellig Michael has the very real potential to be my favorite Star Wars location of all time.
I’m hoping Rian can intercut the more action-oriented Poe/Finn plot with the introspective Rey/Luke scenes. I think Empire kinda drags in the middle a bit (blasphemy!)
I I had any artistic skill whatsoever I would recreate the Empire poster with Poe and Finn as Han and Leia and that picture of Mark on Daisy’s back where Luke is.

I’m glad they are ending on their own terms, instead of meandering on and declining in quality (Big Bang, Doctor Who under Moffat, etc) just to make more episodes. Hopefully we can have a quality season with no filler.
