Oh boy, the “giving-the-Prequels-one-more-chance” thing. That comes in my mind from time to time too. I have not seen the Prequels for quite a while now in order to forget them as good as possible. But on the other hand, i’m saying to myself: Hey, they can’t be that bad? Let’s rewatch them completely open-minded. I did this two times in the past … but those movies are not getting better

I made the mistake a few years ago of falling into the “maybe I’ll give them just one more go” trap. No, they were worse than I remembered. After that I physically threw the DVDs in the trash so I may never again be tempted. My household is officially prequel-free.

I almost bought Revenge of the Sith on blu-ray when the Steelbooks came out because I am a steelbook slut. Thank god I came to my senses before it was too late. Spent the money on a UK Firefly steelbook instead.

Why not the UK Steelbook of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy? Has great graphic design on it.

Because I have a crush on Adam Baldwin that even looking at his Twitter cannot deminish. I have a thing for burly brutes.

Peter Cushing was in a lot of films before Star Wars, especially the Hammer Frankenstein and Dracula movies. He was one of those character actors who was in a lot of crap sometimes but always gave a good performance and treated the material he was in with respect, a la Christopher Lee. Its weird, but seeing him never takes me out of the movie. He’s that good.

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

It could get pushed back to Dec 2018 and move Mary Poppins Returns because no one gives a crap about that.

Kennedy has shown that she supports her directors when she likes their ideas. She’s the one who read the rough draft of Rogue One and asked why didn’t they all die. She’s the one who approved the last minute shooting of the Vader slaughter scene. She let JJ and Kasden dump most of Lucas’ draft. Rian Johnson seems happy with her. I trust Kennedy, she saw douche-bro Solo and was worried. Even the actor himself was worried and he was able to go to her and express his concerns and she didn’t brush him off.

Good on her.

Aren’t 21 and 22 Jump Street bro humor movies? Not something I’d equate with good Star Wars.

I’d side with Kasden over L+M anyday. He wrote 3 good Star Wars movies and Raiders. He understands the characters. If Lord and Miller were creating a douche-bro Han Solo then they needed to be fired. It should have happened earlier than now. I think Ron Howard will do a good job as long as he has a good script- which Kasden is likely to provide. If he can salvage some of the more expensive FX sequences the budget should be ok and as long as the film is good we are looking at another $1 billion box office success.

When Did The Star Wars Prequels Become Cool?

The pesky whipper-snappers who grew up on crap like Twilight and Harry Potter moved into other fandoms. Since they are easy to please the creators have little incentive to make good stuff when they can half ass any old garbage and make the bucks. They ruined Doctor Who and they tried to ruin Star Wars.

What the hell do you have against Harry Potter? Also, I have a Chrome plugin that replaces the word “millenial” with “pesky whipper-snappers”, so ignore the edit.

I like the books and I think that Rowling got so many kids excited about reading is a great thing. Its the movies I can’t stand and that Hot Topic had turned into nothing but Harry Potter central again. The last movie I saw, Goblet of Fire?, was only to on a date with a hot black dude.

Extreme Prequel Plot Holes And Inconsistencies
Time

It would have been so easy to have Owen in TPM as one of those kids or an older brother sort and have him want Anakin to stay and not go off because Owen never looked beyond owning a farm on Tatooine. Maybe Anakin gave Owen some of his winnings to make the down payment. The he could still be “Uncle” like I’m Uncle to my friends little one.
