This sounds perfect! Working BoBF in as a subplot of Mando’s story feels a lot more balanced than how it ended up being presented, and I’m intrigued to see how Grogu being missing is accomplished. Definitely feel like more time apart will be more impactful. Out of curiosity, how much of Boba Fett’s story will be included? Do we see his flashbacks, or is it just Din’s interactions with him?

Also, and this would require some more VFX work than may be possible, but with Grogu out of the picture, maybe Din gets R5 from the get go of having the N1? Would be a bit difficult to pull off, but would spare a return trip to Peli’s.

Lastly, are the Plazir and Pershing stories cut down? I imagine that episode with both of them would have to be quite hefty.

3P0 is a goldmine for AI voices, since his voice already has a sort of mechanical filter. For that first line, I wonder if the emphasis could be changed. I hoped YOU would tell ME, or something like that. It sounds good, but a bit removed from context atm.

I was thinking something similar to this, but a bit different. There’s not much needed from TPM imo, maybe keep Duel of the Fates. I believe I cut it down to about 30 minutes. This can work as an extended prologue for AotC, then RotS as 2, and Obi Wan as 3. Of course, there’d be edits to each in order to make the structure go a bit more smoothly.

To be honest, I forgot that Leia didn’t fade away until the end of the movie. The main four are definitely iconic, I do kinda wish there was a version with just those four and Leia. I think adding Mace and Ahsoka is a bit too much, but it’s honestly more than great as it is.

The voice itself sounds really accurate, but I feel like it’s missing the emotion that Poe puts into it, sadly. Is there maybe a way to splice it with the line that’s already in the movie?

As we’re discussing AI, if I may throw out, the Duel of the Fates script has a scene of Luke telling Kylo to go home. Maybe the AI could read that or something similar, in place of Kylos psychic talk with Palpatine?

I know it’s not part of the PT, but with the inclusion of the Inquisitors in the Obi Wan show, I wonder if that can be manipulated a bit. With them all being former Jedi, maybe is there a line that would imply Obi Wan taught some of the younglings?

Rotoscope Boba Fett over Cara Dune in all shots of the Mandalorian season 2 finale. I’m only half joking.

Thanks for the critique. I think I’ll work on rotoscoping a Dooku scene, then lipsync it so that it matches. Also, Vader’s knighting is not in my edit, so hopefully the reused dialogue won’t be an issue.
