Yeah, there is a similar symbol, from which the Imperial Symbol was derived. However, I don't actually know what that symbol's supposed to be if the Republic uses that "old Republic" symbol. I wish I had a jpg somewhere of the symbol as I know which one you mean.

This just randomly occured to me out of nowhere...
and I hope I'm not going off-topic here, but I was thinking about the Vader/Emperor/Bridge shot, and suddenly I thought:

Maybe MagFan is going to reuse that scene, by incorporating it into episode VI, and pretend that they are overlooking the construction of the 2nd death star (not the first)!

However, I am probably just rambling as I am in severe need of sleep... Maybe I dreamed this up... hrmm.

Also, if you're talking about the same thing I'm thinking when you say "movie credits" on the back, then it should be "Univers" font. It's actually one of the condensed types of Univers, can't remember which right now.

I have one of the Australian releases of the trilogy (think it's the last release on VHS of the Original Trilogy), and this set of artwork is the set used. The artist's name is John Alvin, and I found some info on him when I went to find hi-res textless versions of these works online. Here is the page on John Alvin.

I created a mockup one a while ago (April Fool's), and it is by no means great, just mimics the official style covers about 80%. It's in this thread somewhere, I'll see if I can find it again.

I'm stuck with 16:9 as I can't seem to re-encode any video files at all at the moment. It's a software conflict, bah!

I'm sure that "this one movie" would be better enjoyed if one could manage a re-encode... I might try for myself once my PC stops playing up (help by PM, anyone?)

Thanks for the info on the subs. I don't necessarily care about them being there; in fact I'm learning Japanese, so it actually helps sometimes. Was just curious if they had them or not. Looks like a pretty impressive set. And like most people, I am awaiting a new "ultimate" style set of the movies; whether that be on DVD or the next generation of video discs.

I'm a fan of my childhood favs still - for games that is.

I own a 64 and a cube, andhave a few of today's power-hungry PC games, but the point-n-click adventures of old.... they were the best.

Fate of Atlantis, Sam n Max, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Monkey Island. But of course, I loved the Neverhood! Anybody else here heard of that, or played it? Or better still; loved it and has the soundtrack (like me

2 things:

1. ALL time travel movies are freaking excellent, some examples (most already mentioned) are: 12 Monkeys, BTTF, Time Machine, HP3, Terminator Series, Bill&Ted etc - all of these rock.

Wow. That must've really made your day, getting the thumbs-up of appreciation from Mr. Darklighter himself.

I am going to DL this from Myspleen in a few days (have to wait for broadband speeds to kick in again). I'd get it from you ocpmovie (but it looks like you don't want to be attached to distributing it any longer - and I would lose so much money in the currency conversion it would hardly be worth my while). However, I look forward to seeing this!
